WHAT 7 SITCOM CHARACTERS, ONE BEING PICKED FROM NIGHT COURT,(CHARACTER NOW, NOT THE ACTORS THAT PLAY THEM) WITH THEIR DYNAMIC/CLASHING PERSONALTIES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE LIVE IN A "FICTIONAL" REALITY SHOW (IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE?) FOR INSTANCE:
1.DAN FIELDING - NIGHT COURT
2.ARCHIE BUNKER - ALL IN THE FAMILY
3.WILL SMITH - FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR
4.ROSEANNE CONNER - ROSEANNE
ETC. YOU GET THE IDEA. ALSO TRY TO LIST A FEW REASONS OF WHY YOU WOULD PLACE THE PEOPLE YOU PICKED TOGETHER - WHO COULD YOU SEE ARGUING WITH WHO? WHO DO YOU SEE HOOKING UP WITH WHO? WHO DO YOU SEE MAKING FRIENDS WITH WHO?
My list would be:
1. Dan Fielding - Night Court
2. Archie Bunker - All In the Family
3. Claire Huxtable - The Cosby Show
4. Will Smith - Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
5. Chrissy Snow - Three's Company
6. Dorothy Zbornack - The Golden Girls
7. Julia Sugarbaker - Designing Women
I can see Dan coming on to Chrissy and halfway tricking her due to her flakiness but wising up just in time to catch him in his game and giving him the brush off. I can also see Julia Sugarbaker teaching Dan a lesson or two about the fairer sex as well as Archie being taught a lesson with him. I can see a lot of fireworks between Claire and Archie - her being very liberal, educated, strongminded, also African-American while Archie is the complete opposite - male chauvinist, prejudice, narrowminded.

Ooh, this is the kind of exercise I love! There are so many ways to go with it...
Let me see...
1. Roz Russell from "Night Court"
2. Frasier Crane from "Cheers/Frasier"
3. Buddy Sorrell from "The Dick Van Dyke Show"
4. Phoebe Bouffay from "Friends"
5. Louie de Palma from "Taxi"
6. Heyden Fox from "Coach"
7. Sophia Petrillo from "The Golden Girls"
You've got a wisecracker, a bubblehead, a mean guy, an intellectual, and several strong personalities there... in particular, the dynamic between Coach Fox and Frasier in their approaches to life might be fun, with Roz there to bang their heads together when they got on her nerves... Louie mocks everybody except Sophia, who tirelessly puts him down and actually earns his affection, in a bizarre sort of way, by becoming sort of an Italian momma figure to him... Phoebe just floats through the whole thing bringing her particular brand of wisdom to these mismatched new "Friends"...
But let's say that doesn't work for you! Let's use a different Night Court character... how 'bout the judge himself? Then we could have:
1. Harold T. Stone, "Night Court"
2. Rhoda Morgenstern, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"
3. Arthur Fonzarelli, "Happy Days"
4. Phil Fish, "Barney Miller"
5. Denise Huxtable, "The Cosby Show"
6. Charles Emerson Winchester, "MASH"
7. Jim Ignatowksi, "Taxi"
The way I see this working is: Harry and Rhoda vie for leadership of the group, he with his gentle humor and she with inborn New York good sense. Despite their antagonism, there's an attraction there, and they eventually hook up... meanwhile, Fish takes it upon himself to reform the young punk Fonzie, who not only doesn't want reforming, he's mostly concerned with impressing this beautiful, classy young chick from New York-- who likes him but is most definitely unimpressed by his sexist attitude. Finally, there's Charles, who at first disdains the shabby cab driver, Reverend Jim... until he finds out his father is a wealthy Boston aristocrat, and then he tries to suck up...
I like that one. But you know, I'm inspired to keep going with this. So let's try...
1. Dan Fielding, "Night Court"
2. Murphy Brown, "Murphy Brown"
3. Hawkeye Pierce, "MASH"
4. Lou Grant, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"
5. Will Smith, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"
6. Alex P. Keaton, "Family Ties"
7. Alex Lambert, "Wings"
This one's sort of politically-oriented, as we have two antagonistic liberals (Hawkeye and Murph) battling with a couple of conservatives (Lou and the male Alex). Dan feels a certain kinship with the right-wingers but is more interested in getting with the female Alex, who puts him down mercilessly and can't quite remember his name. In a subplot, Will Smith tries to teach Michael J. Fox to be cool, meanwhile swapping sci-fi movie anectodes while out of character... ;)
But if that's too mundane, how about something a little less usual?
1. Bull Shannon, "Night Court"
2. Grandpa Munster, "The Munsters"
3. Morticia Addams, "The Addams Family"
4. ALF, "ALF"
5. Uncle Martin, "My Favorite Martian"
6. Maxwell Smart, "Get Smart"
7. Samantha Stevens, "Bewitched"
I don't think I even need to elaborate on this one, save that it would be memorable. Just two major NC characters to go, so let's see what we can do with them...
1. Christine Sullivan, "Night Court"
2. Tim Taylor, "Home Improvement"
3. George Jefferson, "The Jeffersons"
4. Roseanne Connor, "Roseanne"
5. Gomer Pyle, "Gomer Pyle USMC"
6. Latka Gravas, "Taxi"
7. Norm Peterson, "Cheers"
A fair amount of culture clash here, as the relentlessly classy Christine tries to teach blue-collar Tim some manners, though all he wants is to watch football with Norm. Roseanne mocks them both and Gomer too, while George spends most of his time relentlessly bashing Latka. Of course, he always gets his comeuppance in the end.
Finally, we have...
1. Mac Robinson, "Night Court"
2. Archie Bunker, "All in the Family"
3. Carla Tortelli, "Cheers"
4. Will Truman, "Will & Grace"
5. Vinny Barbarino, "Welcome Back, Kotter"
6. Dr. Bob Hartley, "The Bob Newhart Show"
7. Whitley Gilbert, "A Different World"
This gives Archie a wide range of people to be offended by, while Dr. Bob tries to convince him (and Carla, too) to make an appointment to deal with their anger issues...
And we haven't even CONSIDERED any member of the Brady Bunch, yet! This is just an amazing concept...
