At what age? And I don't mean just for something special like a play, special dinner, picture, ect....

Like when did you just start wearing it.....daily?

I was late.....started at age 13! I wish I would've started a lot younger.....

I started wearing makeup at around 14 but didn't do it daily until my sophomore year of high school.

I wore it a little in 6th grade but then I stopped and went through an ugly stage, and I restarted when I was 15 and now I wear it every day.

I started around 12, just a little eye shadow. Now, I very rarely wear it and when I do it's usually just a little lipstick, maybe some eye shadow.

A lot younger than 13??
I was in 10th grade, started with liquid eyeliner and lipstick.
Right now I rarely wear any.

I'm pretty much the same way. I didn't wear it for a long time partly because I was lazy and I felt that people (especially my family) would look at me like, omg is she wearing makeup? I couldn't imagine not wearing makeup now, I think my face looks tired without it.

12. the first year or two i wore it, i was kind of obsessive and wore eyeshadow and eyeliner and mascara and blush and glitter and crap every day..now i just wear black eyeliner and sometimes mascara to go with it.

starting before age 11 or 12 is way too early.

Maybe seventh grade? And then it was only cover-up because my skin was bleh.

Well, the first school picture where I was wearing any was my junior year, and then it was just eyeliner and eyeshadow. Not until recently (like within the last couple years) did I wear any foundation on a daily basis. My skin is so oily and acne prone that in HS, I was afraid to waer any. And now I only wear the expensive stuff that has acne meds in the foundation.

Makeup is fun, but it can be a giant pain in the ass too. It's messy, time consuming, and to get the really good stuff, you have to shell out mucho dinero. I paid $15 for a lousy tube of Good Skin foundation that doesn't even spread that well. But it was lighter weight on my face than Almay, which isn't cheap stuff either.

Yeah, that's kind of what I did. In sixth it was only barely noticable eye shadow. Hell, I didn't even start wearing eye liner till last year.

It was a couple of days after my 15th birthday when I started wearing makeup. I remember first wearing it for my Quinceañera party (Sweet Fifteen Mexican party), but I do wear it very, very rarely and only on very special occasions such as weddings, fancy parties, or taking professional photos. I've only worn it to accentuate my face in these studio photos, and it's usually lipstick and blush. My natural face looks fresh and young. I still often get disbeliefs that I am my age. People think I am younger than my age. It used to anger me, but now I am happy because when I am 60, I can look 40. ;)

I just think that faces and skin can seem quite dependent on makeup. Such as.... if it's worn consistently and not worn one day, the face does NOT look OR feel the same. The face would look sorta naked, in a way, so I am one not to make time every morning to make a routine of putting on makeup. I agree with those who say it's a pain.

I think I was 13 or so. I rarely wore it though. Now I'm 20 and don't bother wearing any at all. Too much of a hassle.

When I was in college a friend bet me $100 to dress like a girl, which included make-up, and I did! I was 19.

I wore makeup for a while when I was 13 & in 8th grade. I haven't worn any makeup since then. The most I put on now is lip gloss or lip balm. I'm pretty lucky, I look just fine without makeup.

I STILL don't wear make-up on a regular basis and I'm 22. When I started wearing make up occasionally I was maybe 14 or 15. Mostly I just wear some blush and something on my lips. I very rarely wear any eye make-up just because I hate to watch it off at night. I really don't need any make up on my eye brows or mascara because I naturally have very dark eye lashes and eye brows.

whoa, I just noticed something. After you vote if you click on the number of votes for each choice you can see who voted for what! I never noticed that before.

I don't really remember... a loooooooooong time ago. I was in junior high (middle school, now), that much I know. I rarely wear make-up now, however, except for special occasions.

I look sort of dead without eye makeup. However lately, like today, all I was doing was going shopping, so I didn't even put that on. That's rare for me not to care even that much.

I started experimenting with make-up when I was about 10 or 11 and I started wearing it full-on when I was 12. Black eyeliner and lip gloss are two of my everyday essentials. :)

oh, i forgot to say... i'm 21 and still don't regulary wear it... if i'm having a really crappy skin day, i'll put it on, but most of the time to work, i'm in such a hurry to get to work on time, because i can't get my lazy butt out of bed, that i don't put ANYTHING on... except moistuizer

I used to not be able to leave the house with some sort of eye makeup on because, like you Cathy, I think I look dead. But then I got to college and got in the habit of waking up right before I had to be somewhere so when I am here I hardly ever wear makeup. But when I'm at home (even if I'm not going anywhere) I put makeup on. It's a weird phenomenon.

I wore make-up more back then around the age of 13 - 14; today I hardly wear any of it and if I do then, it's only a little bit.

I've never heard of anyone putting make-up on their eye brows. Do people actually do that?
Yeah, to either fill them in if they're kind of sparse, or to darken/lighten them.

My aunt, for reasons unknown to me, lost most of her eyebrows, so she has to draw on the missing spots.

I used to wear lots of eye shadow lip gloss just because my mom said not to, and I was trying to be "cool". But now I rarely wear it except for under eye concelear when i have dark circles. It takes a while to make it look good and my friends say that they take 20 minutes to get ready. I'd rather spend that time sleeping.
