View Full Version : Scariest sketch themaninblack 12-10-2005, 11:26 PM anne segmund, the man who killed megan curl, and the man who was responsible for running the black guys off the road. LooksLikeCRicci 12-11-2005, 03:19 AM I thought that the sketch of the guy that kidnapped Angela Hammond was pretty creepy. CODIS 12-12-2005, 08:05 AM 1. Blind river rest stop shooter. 2. Frank Perkins. (killed Lee Selywn) in California Motorcycle hit/run. 3. WADADA. fivecats 02-03-2006, 12:45 AM Hands down, the scariest sketch has to be that emergency bulletin one where the little girl was killed and found hours later stuffed in a t.v. box. The police sketch of the suspect freaked me out...it didn't help that it was midnight and I was alone in the house at the time it aired. I think they ended up finding the guy who killed her, but it is still a scary episode! LooksLikeCRicci 02-03-2006, 11:41 AM They did find that guy. He lived in the same apartment complex as the little girl... wasn't her name Bobbie Jean or something? mercy1825 02-03-2006, 12:00 PM Her name was Barbara Jean Horn. The man they sentenced to death for the crime was Walter Ogrod, I believe. Does anyone know if he has been executed yet? I know the jury in his first trial was 11-1 acquittal, he was retried and convicted. Walt is also mentally limited I believe. Many believe he is an innocent man who showed ZERO resemblence to the sketch. He was her neighbor at the time of the murder. Sad, sad, case. Kane 02-03-2006, 12:03 PM They did find that guy. He lived in the same apartment complex as the little girl... wasn't her name Bobbie Jean or something? Her name was Barbara Jean Horn. Considering the fact that she was murdered at the age of 4 in 1988, she would currently be 22 years old if she had lived. Instead, we have another young adult that never was. :( The man they caught was Walter Ogrod. He was convicted of Barbara's murder, and is now on Pennsylvania's death row. Ogrod was slated to get the needle in August 2005, but he was given a stay of execution. CODIS 02-03-2006, 02:02 PM "Stay of Exececution"????? Sounds more like a "Stay of Conviction"....to me anyways. An 80s Guy 02-09-2006, 11:02 PM this show is crazy Tony Ballesteros 02-10-2006, 12:10 AM this again? LooksLikeCRicci 02-10-2006, 03:09 AM Come on, Tony... if you don't like the threads, be creative and think of a thread we haven't talked about before! :) Zero 02-10-2006, 04:28 AM For me it's got to be the one of an unknown murder suspect caught on tape. He killed a man working at a convenience store late at night. The man was latino but that's all I remember of him. The suspect was a bald black man and the composite was horrible! They made his eyes all freaky. Like shiny some how. Oh, and the composite of the white male seen abducting Michalea (sp) is another. Off topic, I find it strange that they did not show that composite, or even mention that suspect when they did the Amber Schwartz segment in 2002. They mentioned the little girl, and two others that went missing at the time but nothing more. Scariest Sketch that lifetime hasnt shown in a while that took place in your area and that you feel will be on an upcoming dvd set LOL. Awsi Dooger 02-11-2006, 01:25 AM Uh, there is a slight difference between a new thread that's a needless rehash, and a bumped thread. This was an example of the latter. It debuted in December. Composite Sketch 09-01-2006, 01:25 AM Hands down, the scariest sketch has to be that emergency bulletin one where the little girl was killed and found hours later stuffed in a t.v. box. The police sketch of the suspect freaked me out...it didn't help that it was midnight and I was alone in the house at the time it aired. I think they ended up finding the guy who killed her, but it is still a scary episode! It definitely is. I have just watched the case on crystaldawn's Vol. 4 (for the first time) and it is way up there among the scariest sketches. Actually, I caught a glimpse of the sketch in Vol. 1 because the Barbara Horn case followed the Gayle Delano case (which is on that disc) and after the Delano case finished, there was a couple seconds of the "Coming up next..." and *BAM* right away, the sketch was shown. I found it odd because UM really does tend to hold off in showing sketches until the very end of segments, with rare exceptions. My vote for a poll like this is, and always will be, the second of the three sketches from the Bike Path Killer case, shown in 1996. Still brings a chill and is the only sketch or segment I will be glad never to see again. I don't want that case in my tape/DVD collection, that's how much I don't like it. Other scary ones: -Su Ya Kim's killer -The 2 sketches of the guy who stuck a bomb on the CA taxi driver and made him rob a bank -Almost all the Son of Sam sketches (the one with the cap at the very beginning and the one of the guy wearing the wig who jumped into the Volkswagen right after the last shooting were the scariest) -The sketches of Mickey and Trudy Thompson's killers from the 1989 episode (which I have just seen for the first time). Interestingly, these are NOT the same sketches that AMW has shown over and over (where one of the killers has a hood on his head and both look like they have no eyes). These are the same sketches UM showed in 2002 when an arrest was made. I wonder why they show those ones, the ones shown in 1989 are far more descriptive than the other ones - and scarier. -Dorothy Donovan's killer (although comparing him to Urkel does add humor to it) -One of Kimberley Pandilios' killers (looked like an Ape Man - I hid under the covers all night when I first saw that one in 1995) -Elaine Parent or her 'accomplice' in the Cleopatra wig!!!!! I have finally seen that sketch and it is CREEPY! Almost inhuman! There's this one case from 1993/4 that I can't remember many of the details about and no one talks about, but I recall a scary sketch that kept me up a few nights after watching that episode. Someone was murdered, I think in their car which was burned afterwards. There were two sketches of two very different looking suspicous people shown - one from someone driving a strange car, and another who was seen walking away from the burning car where a crowd had gathered. That second one was the scary one which kept me up. Don't know if anyone else recalls this. The Angela Hammond case is mentioned above - I didn't know a sketch was shown in that case? Maybe it was just in the original airing. wiseguy182 09-01-2006, 03:23 AM I don't recall ever seeing a composite sketch in the Angela Hammond segment either. The only one that I know of that might have saw him besides his victims would have been Angela's boyfriend, who would have only gotten a very brief glimpse of him at best as he drove past them on the road, if at all. They were both probably driving pretty fast. He might have been too focused on Angela to notice what the man looked like. However, in the segment, Angela describes what the guy looks like to her boyfriend as they're talking on the phone. The description she gave was creepy. The Elaine Parent segment was CREEPY!, I agree. The one part that really stands out in my mind was when he/she was leaving that car rental place or whatever. The look Elaine gives the clerk before leaving was just downright EERIE, did anyone else notice that? greatgarrett2 09-01-2006, 03:45 AM Three words for creepiest sketch (in my view): Elizabeth Campbell's abductor http://www.texasequusearch.org/images_missingpersons/ElizabethCampbellPossibleSuspect.jpg LooksLikeCRicci 09-01-2006, 12:08 PM I don't know why I thought there was a composite sketch in the Angela Hammond case... I think that I may have created my own composite based on the description of her abductor that she gave to her boyfriend over the phone... Hey, did Kenneth McDuff match that description? Awsi Dooger 09-01-2006, 06:42 PM I don't know why I thought there was a composite sketch in the Angela Hammond case... I think that I may have created my own composite based on the description of her abductor that she gave to her boyfriend over the phone... They did have a good sketch of the fish in the rear window deedeee 11-29-2006, 12:13 AM the man who killed megan curl sketch, looks very menacing indeed |
