How come Stephanie Hodge wasn't in the last season of Unhappily... Ever After.

I'd like to know what Stephanie is doing now that she's NOT on "Unhappily Ever Aafter". Does anyone know?

She was killed off during the middle of the second season. She appeared as a ghost for the final 5 episodes of season 2.

Stephanie Hodge played Jenny, The Mother.

Jennie Malloy (Stephanie Hodge)
ran off to Europe with a lesbian lover.
This is mentioned briefly in the fifth season opener (it's the episode where they spoof the x-files, I can't remeber the exact title). Also her charcater DID in fact die in the middle of season four, however one of the show's producer's (I forget which one) appereared on the show and announced that a decision was made to bring her character back to life.
In short, the reason Jennie did not appear during the fifth season was because she had left Jack for a woman, not because she was supposedly dead.

I liked her character! I wished she would've stayed

My nominee would be Stephanie Hodge. Most people remember her as the wife from Unhappily After After or The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. She's got a lot of TV work doing wives and moms. Funny thing is, in her standup she's hilarious and raunchy. She can play a hard-drinking, hard-eyed southern woman about as well as it can be done, to hilarious effect. But TV has a way of rounding those edges off, which probably explains why that aspect of her persona never took off and got her into superstardom.

This show is another Married With Children type of sitcom.

A similar sort of thing happened to Stephanie Hodge on NBC's Nurses several years prior. Nurses naturally, started out as a vehicle for Stephanie Hodge and it was decided she couldn't pull it off (like her later show Unhappily Ever After) and the show was turned into an ensemble piece the second year. But it still wasn't working right so Loni Anderson was brought to rework it further.

Tommy "Throwback" Kovac chats it up with legendary stand up comic Stephanie Hodge, you may remember her from "Unhappily Ever After". Warning: Adult Language. Totally radical!.

In between Nurses and UEA, Stephanie Hodge was on (https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-1994-07-09-9407070516-story.html) a CBS (https://www.deseret.com/1994/7/8/19118930/muddling-through-is-white-trash-tv) sitcom (https://ew.com/article/1994/07/08/muddling-through/) called Muddling Through (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muddling_Through). It only lasted for 10 episodes (https://screenrant.com/friends-jennifer-aniston-rachel-green-muddling-through-cast/) and is really only remembered now (https://www.tvweek.com/tvbizwire/2019/08/oh-the-power-they-had-back-then-how-the-president-of-nbc-entertainment-helped-kill-off-a-cbs-show-to-make-sure-jennifer-aniston-could-play-rachel-on-friends/) for being the very last project (https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1994/07/09/tv-preview/6dce7a4c-7eed-4bcc-b80f-154ed8d87ed5/) that Jennifer Aniston (https://books.google.com/books?id=NpNWEAAAQBAJ&pg=PT154&lpg=PT154&dq=muddling+through+cbs&source=bl&ots=zjUIpONBAU&sig=ACfU3U0Gtxs23I_WHhSPvI2KE9ip_mA7zg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiug7De_LP4AhVYD0QIHSNAAH84HhDoAXoECBgQAw) worked on (https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/friends-nbc-quietly-sabotaged-a-rival-show-so-jennifer-aniston-would-play-rachel-green-instead.html/) right before (https://www.cinemablend.com/television/2478489/the-sneaky-way-nbc-made-sure-jennifer-aniston-could-star-in-friends) Friends (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WhatCouldHaveBeen/Friends).
