I liked the ones with Joe Rogan and Andy Dick the most. Those two, in real life, are funny together. "Goofy Ball" had them along with Dave and I believe Stephen. I loved when Andy was asking Joe if he'd ever seen "Less Than Perfect" and Joe kept saying "no." Andy went on and on describing the show and Joe still had no clue. It was funny.
Phil would have been great in the commentaries.
Anyways, who did your favorite commentaries on the "NewsRadio" DVD?

I agree the Joe Rogan/Andy Dick combination was pretty funny. I did like the ones with Paul Simms. He had a bunch of great behind the scenes stories. Of course they all had stories... I guess it's hard for me to pick which ones I liked the best. I like each one for different reasons.
You're totally right, Phil Hartman comentaries would have been a lot of fun!
I was beginning to wonder if anybody ever posts here anymore.
I guess nobody else wonders if they're going to put the rest of the series out on DVD! I know I do!
Happy holidays,

It was nice to hear Warren Littlefield compliment the show. And even though he screwed with the timeslot, you have to give him credit. The show wasn't cancelled until after he left NBC.
Commentaries I would have liked:
(for whatever episodes)
Dave-Maura (along with others)
Stephen-Vicki (along with others)
Joe-Khandi (along with others)
and of course, James Burrows! With him being a very famous sitcom director, I'd like to know what he thinks about "NewsRadio." I know he complimented the actors. He compared the NewsRadio cast to the Friends cast. He said, like with Friends, you could go to ANY cast member and know you'll get a great, funny performance.
All of the Maura commentaries were with Paul Simms and a writer or two. Same for the Vicki commentaries. I wish they had done commentaries with some of the cast.

I agree. More than one cast member together brought out more stories of the show and it's filming. Others were more production oriented. For most of them I did enjoy listening to the banter, but it was more fun with a couple of cast members with Paul.

I liked the ones with Stephen, Maura, and Vicki. Paul was a great moderator, and I hope he keeps the Q&A style for the duration of the DVD commentaries. If I had to single out a specific favorite commentary track, it would have to be the one for Luncheon at the Waldorf, wherein Paul thanks Jennifer Liao for starting the NR Newsletter, and Vicki gives my website props (and yes, I forgive Paul for the 'guy in prison' joke at my expense). :-)
