"The Penguin's Nest" (prod. #9701-Pt. 1) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 61st episode of Batman.
Adapted from a comic book story in Batman #36 (August/September 1946), with the same title as episode #61, written by Alvin Schwartz.
DECEMBER 8, 1966
"The Bird's Last Jest" (prod. #9701-Pt. 2) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 62nd episode of Batman.
Interestingly, writer Stanley Ralph Ross' nickname is "Ballpoint"! (Or was, since he lost his battle with lung cancer on March 16, 2000.)
This is the last episode in which the Part 2 teaser sequence features stop-motion clips of events from the previous evening's episode; from the next episode on, the teaser in Part 2 will immediately pick up where the previous episode left off.
DECEMBER 7, 1968
"The Bloody Tower" (prod. #1711-Pt. 3) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 107th episode of Batman.
Conclusion of a 3-chapter story. This was the only 3-part third-season episode of Batman, as well as the third overall and last.
This was the final performance as Aunt Harriet Cooper Madge Blake ever gave.
We learn here that Alfred Pennyworth drove around Londinium in his second cousin Cuthbert's taxicab. Here, Robin is seen actually driving The Batmobile!!!!!!
