View Full Version : Funniest drunk: Ned or Fishbone
nerrad 12-05-2005, 02:34 PM Ned all the way, even though Benson was funny as hell playing Fishbone. I liked the way he walked into the apartment with all of those papers (or whatever that was he was passing out) and just unloaded everything on their kitchen table. "He didn't feel like walking anymore", or whatever he said.
Ned, on the other hand, stole the show. Everything from his walk, to him falling on the couch, to him talking and trying eat whatever the slop Florida gave him, to him smiling in a state of shock of being clean.
GARFIELDKOOL 12-05-2005, 08:05 PM Ned. Fishbone's character didn't do much for me. Then again, he was only on one episode.

You didn't like Fishbone dance at the end of the episode?

I did (like the Fishbone dance). If that character was on more than one episode I might pick him, but since Ned was seen more, I gotta go with him.

Yeah. I just liked his Sanford and Son role better because he spoke more and actually had interaction with with other characters. On Good Times he just was drunk, never said anything and always stumbled around

He played a drunk on the Jeffersons and What's Happening Too-lol
nerrad 12-07-2005, 07:54 AM How about when Fishbone and his buddy was in the bar talking about EF Hutton, LOL. I know y'all remember that commercial. "When EF Hutton talks, people listen". Hmmm, I wonder do they still exist.
harleyquinn69 12-07-2005, 09:54 AM Looks like this guy got paid in the 70's for playing the resident drunk. Too bad he probably typecast himself.:)

IF YOU WERE MARRIED TO ESTER YOU WOULD BE A DRUNK TOO.

I just don't understand why Raymond Allen couldn't play the Wino in that episode when they brung in Robert Gulliame to play FishBone. Raymond Allen wasn't on any other TV Show during the fall of 1977-lol
Living In a '70's Dream 12-07-2005, 07:57 PM Neither, I do not see the humor os seeing "drunks" on television...(I worked as a bartender for ten years) so personally, I do not think people who are wasted on alcohol to be amussing.
