IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE ER'S ENDING, HOW WOULD THE SHOW END? I ONLY KNOW FOR SURE THAT I WOULD HAVE ABBY AS RUNNING THE ER, OR EVEN TAKING OVER WEAVER'S POSITION. THIS GAL HAS WORKED HER WAY UP FROM A NEO-NATAL NURSE TO MED STUDENT, WITH MORE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS PERSONALLY & PROFESSIONALLY THAN MOST (ESPECIALLY WHEN DEALING WITH HER FAMILY). PLUS, SHE'S A SENSITIVE, CARING AND INTELLECTUAL DOCTOR, MOST LIKELY BECAUSE OF HER PAST. THESE QUALIFICATIONS SOUND LIKE THIS SHOULD BE COMMON FOR DOC'S, BUT BELIEVE ME, I'VE WORKED WITH THE REAL THING FOR YEARS, AND TO HAVE ALL 3 IN 1 DOC ISN'T AS COMMON AS YOU MIGHT THINK! BESIDES, WHO WOULD DESERVE IT MORE? YOU GO GIRL!:lol:

Absolutely!!! Abby would run the ER.

If I could right ER's series Finale, I would wrap everything up from that season. The Final episode would just be another day in the ER. Abby would become Chief of staff. Also, three new student's would begin their ER rotation, and Carter (since he'll make appearances before the end) would talk to them, and tell them they'll make it, using the talk Marc gave him in the Pilot. The closing scene would be a patient deeply thanking one of the regulars. The camera would follow that patient as he/she walks out of the ER. We'd see those Double Doors close.....right when those doors close, there's a fade, and the next scene would be a touching farewell to all the Doctors over the years. (The ER theme music would play slowly, just like at the end of the Pilot.)..Faces that are shown are Marc, Carrol, Susan, Carter, Keri, Jeannie, Benton, Abby, Pratt, Ross, Ray,Neela, Chen, Gallant, Corday, Lucy, Romano, Finch, Sam, Luka, Morris, etc.....Then a fade.
