During the early seasons of M.A.S.H. there was a recurring character who was seen on some episodes named Sergeant Zale, I don't remember if he was given a first name. He eventually disappeared and seemed to be replaced by the recurring character of Sergeant Rizzo. Who was played by G.W. Bailey who eventually went on to greater success, you might know him from the crime dramas The Closer and then Major Crimes and I think he's been in some theatrical movies too. I don't know whatever happened to the actor who played Sergeant Zale.
