I read somewhere on the internet that the highest rated S&S episode did not star Redd Foxx. I am assuming it was one of those "Grady" episodes when Redd was on strike. Is this true? If so, anyone know which one?

I remember reading that too. Seems like it was the episode where they find marijuana growing in the yard and Grady serves it up to the cops. I may be wrong, though. Not positive.

It probably was during the 1973-74 season because that was the season that Sanford and Son came closest to being the number one show. All in the Family was number one and Sanford and Son was a very close second
