Although I began watching TV in the mid-fifties, the majority of the sit-coms I
like are from the sixties: The Andy Griffith Show, Car 54 Where Are You?,
Dick Van Dyke, Mr. Ed, The Beverly Hillbillies, My Favorite Martian, Petticoat
Junction, The Munsters, The Addams Family, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island, Gomer Pyle, Get Smart, F-Troop, Gidget, Hogan's Heroes, I Dream of Jeannie, etc.

I picked 1984-1992 because it is closest to what I think is my favorite decade which is 1986-1995 mostly because almost all my favorite shows happened in those ten years

1975-1980

The ABC Comedies were at their peak and the CBS comedies were still going strong.

I agree.

I can't think of one show from that era that I really don't like.

1975 - 1980 ties with 1971 - 1975 for me. I liked both.

Me too! Two of my most favorite comedies were within those two eras: Barney Miller and The Bob Newhart Show.

Also add 51- 60 for "I Love Lucy " ! Another of my favorite TV shows of all time! :)

Given a wide range of years, I would say that 1955-76 is my favorite sitcom era. Given a shorter range of years, I would say that the 1960's, 1960-69, is my favorite sitcom era, with the mid to late 1950's and early to mid 1970's in second place.

75-80 but not because of the shows you listed.

It's because of Three's Company and The Jeffersons!
