Actually, I always did kind of wonder why Jan didn't wear more short skirts on the show. I don't think she ever wore a mini-skirt, that was Marcia's department. Jan mostly wore jeans or slacks.

Her legs were skinnier than Marcia's, Marcia definitely had the nicer pair of legs. Jan did have that one green outfit (it was a dark green skirt with a green and white long sleeve blouse) she would wear sometimes, and I thought she looked great in that outfit. That was really the most 'leg' she showed, and I thought her legs looked nice, but not as nice as Marcia's.

Jan though, imo, was prettier than Marcia in Season 5. What an incredible change from Season 4!

At last, the mystery solved!

I have always felt that Marcia did not look as good in Season 5 as she did in seasons 3 and 4... but I could never figure out what the problem was...but that's exactly it... it was the hair and her eyebrows...I knew there was something about her face, but I couldn't figure it out... she just didn't look right somehow....(leave it to a lady to figure that stuff out!) :)

It seems that Marcia looked a lot more 'tanned' in Season 5, but I knew that wasn't the only thing different about her... but when Ireneparalegal pointed out that her hair got a little lighter and her eyebrows actually got darker, I had a Charlie Brown moment ("THAT'S IT!!!!!!")...

Ireneparalegal's explanation is exactly why Marcia looked worse in season five than she did in seasons 3 and 4...

You know, these pics are actually real pretty...i think it was the light hair, the dark eyebrows and the studio lighting...it just made a bad combination for her looks. Notice the colored pic you posted, her eyebrows aren't so dark. They must have darkened them before filming. Bad make-up artist!

Hey Skay, that is the exact scene that made me catch Jan's legs to begin with!! LOL When I first saw that scene, from then on, I would notice her legs in other scenes/episodes. It drove me crazy. I thought it was the pants too, but it was obvious when she was younger and wore a dress. It drives me crazy when I see her legs...not a good sight.

yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that! seems to me that Jan was standing in the family portrait and you can see her from head to toe (including her knees)...
