On another thread it was mentioned abt a celebrities headstone which seemed elaborate. There are many pics on the net that made that headstone look like nothing. These are just two of them. It made me wonder, how do you want things when you die? Simple, elaborate, a celebration, cremation...what are your wishes? Mine are to be buried with a simple headstone and hopefully alot of laughing memories instead of people crying. btw these pics are of Karen Carpenter and Bette Davis' final resting place

Wow! Those headstones look amazing! :eek: For me though, I'd just want things to be simple and I also do want people to remember me with a smile. I don't want too many tears at my funeral.

I'm being cremated. No headstones, no fanfare. Just a memorial held for friends and family.

Something simple, not a party or anything.

I personally don't care, all i ask is that there not be a viewing. I just don't like the last thought of me being in a casket. I think it's easier to remember a person the way they were in life when you never see them as a corpse, to put it bluntly.

good and ironic thread, i've been seriously thinking about dying and suicide and my funeral and **** for the past day or so. i'm such a miserable bitch. i'd like to die tragically but not too painfully at a fairly young age, and i want everyone i hate to feel guilty as hell. i want to be buried with something precious to me, preferably something like sheet music. i want my funeral to be effing awesome with kick ass music played (to put it more sentimentally, music that i loved) and i want my grave site to look cool too, maybe an engraved metallica logo or picture of :grr: or something on the head stone. meh, i'm such a ****ing teenager.

I went to a wake on Friday with my mother and we had a conversation like this :lol:. Anyways, I want to be buried- not cremated. Something about turning into ashes.. ehh I dunno I just dont like it. I want my wake/funeral to be a 'party'. I want all my favorite songs played and I want the person who does my eulogy to be making jokes etc. I want people laughing and having a good time. Im not saying people shouldnt be upset by my death lol, but I want people to loosen up about it and have a good time.

I want a huge crypt, so when people go by it 50-100 years from then, they'll think I was someone important even though I wasn't important in the least. And I want something spooky-looking inside, so when stupid teenagers come in the middle of the night to do whatever, they'll look inside and be scared ****less.

By important, I meant like, a rich person who everyone in town knew sort of thing. I took a cemetary tour a couple months ago, and all the important people around here in the mid-late 1800s have these huge crypts or headstones. I want to look like more than I was so people will make up their own stories. :crazy:

As many have said, only something simple for me. I'll be on the other side living it up, so it doesn't matter.

your post reminds me of what happened to George Harrison's body. He was cremated and his ashes were thrown in the Ganges river....YUCK...THAT RIVER IS SOOOOO POLLUTED with rotting corpses, filth, feces, animal carcasses and body fluids, the people in and around that area bathe in that water daily...OMG!!!!! so disgusting.:eek:
