Whatever became of the group Wilson Phillips (Chyna Phillips, Carnie and Audrey
Wilson)? Why did they break up? Any chance of a reunion?

Let's hope this "California" slides into the ocean!

well, the album sold less than 200,000 copies and was off the chart in a matter of weeks, so they're in no real danger of repeating their popularity from the early 90's

I really liked Wilson Phillips. I still play their cd sometimes. Those girls could harmonize. I thought they had real staying power. I was wrong.

well, I think that was the fault of Chyna Phillips, who bolted out of Wilson Phillips so quickly thinking she could make it as a solo artist. Their second album was a disapointment but it still had a few hit songs, I think if they had held on and did a third record in 93 or 94 tops that they could've hung around for quite a bit.

I remember when Wilson Phillips and Mariah Carey were the two top new artists in music and most people thinking WP were going to be the superstars of the two, yet look who has sold 4 million and counting of her new cd and who topped out at 175,000 with their new record.

I know this pain (I know this pain, this pain)
Why do lock yourself up in these chains? (these chains)
No one can change your life except for you
Don’t ever let anyone step all over you
Just open your heart and your mind (open your heart and your mind)
Is it really fair to feel this way inside?

Oh oh oh....

Some day somebody’s gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye (say goodbye)
Until then baby are you going to let them hold you down and make you cry
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know things can change things’ll go your way
If you hold on for one more day things’ll go your way
Hold on for one more day

Yeah, I liked 'em too! :happyface

When I first heard of Wilson Phillips, I tohught, "Oh yeah, I've heard of him. Great gospel singer!" I was thinking of Wynton Phipps!

Wilson Phillips was awesome!!! They had some of the prettiest songs I ever heard in my life. I definitely consider them one of my all time favorite groups.

I remember them, they were so confused. First they had a song called Hold On, then one called Release me. Make up your mind people!

Last thing I heard was that Carnie had surgery to staple her stomach, lost a bunch of weight, looked great, got married, I think she had a kid and posed for Playboy.

On there last album, they remade the popular 1980's song "Don't Dream It's Over". Sixpence None The Richer had done a remake of the same song just a little before they did, and it sounded very much the same. That might be one of the reasons why that song didn't do all that well on the charts.
