I check Nelson's starting thread posted on GAC's Termite Terrace Trading Post regarding his announcement:

This really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but enjoy Boomerang as much as you can as of this writing, cause starting in January, "What's New Scooby Doo" and "Dexter's Labortory" comes(what was once a classic cartoon channel for baby boomers) to Boomerang.Cartoon Network's original programming now begins next month on Boomerang and expect to see more original series in the coming months.

It's a shame, but I think the "classic" cartoons weren't doing too well in the ratings.

HA-HA!!!I KNEW ITI knew it would't take long for them to ruin Boomering like they did the Cartoon Network. You all might as well look forward to new originals cartoons,Japanamation, and just to pissed: eveyone off, they'll create another channel to put the classics on that you'll have to wait another 5 years to get!!!By then, the same thing will happen again!
