USA Today reported the other day that Tanya Roberts won't be back this fall as Donna's mother, Midge. Anyone know what happened? I wonder how her absence will be explained in the show.

hmmm...good point..how will they explain her leaving??? Maybe she'll just disappear like Laurie.

Well, she was definitely missing from the credits in Tuesday's episode (it was weird seeing Midge's husband alone in the backseat). I know there was a new episode on Wednesday, too, but I missed it. Have they explained Midge's absence yet?

Nope! Not yet-- ppl on the official site board say that she left Bob...supposedly there is an upcoming episode where the guys get over their infatuation with Midge and set their sights on Kitty! lol

I was wondering about Tanya Roberts. I saw the show last week, and "Donna" mentioned that her mother, "Midge", had moved out. I wasn't sure if this was just part of a story line, and she would still appear on the show, or if Tanya Roberts had decided to leave the cast. I guess I have my answer now.

Well i heard that she demanded more money to do the next season and they said no so she split....

She wanted to pursue other career options and more money

Sucks how she left she added a dumbness to the show that was so funny. And i liked her way more than that Joann character....by the way what happened to her?
