What the heck is happening at BW.com? All the great stuff was removed, and now it is "closed for maintenance" for several days.

I miss the Moonlighting quote game, but at least we now can keep it going on this site. It's just that it seems that everyone that participated on his site in the game is not a member at this great site.

Yeah I noticed, but when I wanted to direct them to this place the BW.com site was already closed...

It's a bit confusing at BW.com these days, first chat went without notice, then suddenly the whole thing disapeared for days!! It's a pity really, as there are a few peeps there I would have liked to keep in touch with. :(

At least the quote game has a new home!

Still no BW.com forum.

Did anyone else notice the time that someone called Bruce "darling"?

His answer was "I'm not your darling." I wonder who calls/called him "Darling"?;)

He called me Cybill once! Or actually 'Cybill who?'.
That was because I entered the chat as Cybill to see how he would react hehehe! And that was about 2 years ago

LOL :D

Sometimes I'm a bad listener as well. He told everyone to stop singing and I started with "Aaall I want" (Dido) and he replied "Is right here with you."

Gosh I miss the old days.

I miss it too. :( I only joined BW.com in Spring 2004, but I had so many cool chats with Bruce or he replied to my questions or posts. It was sooo cool. Even if the site does return, it had changed so much from when I first joined.

I agree with Mul. Even though I miss BW.com, I felt 2005 was not a fun year on that site. It seemed to me that you couldn't say ANYTHING even remotely negative without the BW police breathing down your neck. There were a couple of people on that site that became power-crazy.

Yes, it seems the less time Bruce spent at the time, the less fun it was. I still loved reading some peoples posts (Moonpie was a legend!) and I did get lots of support from the chat room, but it just wasn't the same. Some people started to get nasty and awkward and it became horrible at times.

My memories of the site are things like me asking Bruce in chat if I could borrow his private jet to get to Vegas... His reply was "Nice try, but no".. And I loved Ask Bruce... I got a few questions answered, which was cool!

Well, it's been around 3 months that his forum has been closed for maintenance. It sure doesn't look promising.

I wonder how Brown is doing? Did his CD ever come out?

MulberryGal

You're right Kis, it doesn't look hopeful, when it still says about Happy Thanksgiving (which was in November?). If and when the site does come back up, I can't imagine it will be the same (ie with a forum etc).

Sad really.

According to another site, there has been some movement over at BW.com. It seems that nothing can now be accessed, not just the forum, so maybe they are working on the entire site (hopefully).

BW alerts:

Monday, Feb. 27 - David Letterman
Tuesday, Feb. 28 - Conan O'Brien
Friday, March 3 - The View

Maybe he will mention Moonlighting DVDs???

MulberryGal

It looks much the same to me Kis, still the main page says something about thanksgiving. The only problem is that after 3 months of nothing, will people come back to the site at all? It had over 8000 members, and then closed down! Having said that, in reality there were a couple of thousand people who were active at any one time and a hundred or two who were addicts!!

It says the site being taken to the next level, but I have no idea what that will be! Does anyone else know?

As I can't see those progs here, let me know what Bruce says on them please!! Ta!!

I will keep everyone updated on his appearances.

Movement on BW.com seems to be that you cannot access his Bio page etc. You used to be able to see some of the sections, like the magazine covers. I guess you can't see anything today - I didn't check all of the sections, just the Bio page, and I could not gain access to it.

Hi Ryangie
I never did register for the living room. Are you allowed to say what info is there? If you could, I'm sure lots of people would appreciate it. :) Thanks.

What is the living room?

Gem it's King B's livingroom, an msn group. If you are a member of BW.com you should be able to join, but I think you have to request an invitation. I'm not sure what the rules are posting about what's said there other places so I'll just say I think it may be back up soon.

I did join it long ago, but I never knew how to get into it. I do get e-mails from the site though.

Kismet there should be a link in those emails to get in. At least there usually are in mine anyway.

Thanks for the info.
When I tried to use any of the links just now, my server threw me offline. Maybe aol is in a tiff with msn.

As I recall, I don't think I ever was successful posting on that site.

Thanks for that info, Diana. At the moment, I get told I am not authorised to view any of the pages (Biography etc.) which I used to be able to see and I can't login, either.

Do you know if our same passwords will still work or will we have to all register again?,hope not.By the way great news about it coming back ,cant wait. It`s a shame i didn`t discover his site sooner when Bruce used to go online and chat .I would have loved to have talked to him personally and asked him a few questions.:D ;)

MulberryGal

Not sure about the passwords, Laura, I hope its the same, otherwise I'll get confused...

It was soo cool chatting to Bruce online, Laura! He's such a cool dude. You rarely got a chance to ask questions though, as there could be 30 other people in the chatroom at the same time and it was manic. He also preferred just to hang out with people in the chatroom rather than answer questions.

The Ask Bruce section was the place for that, which was also a great thing. I don't think we'll see its like again... :(

I just got the e-mail as well! When it's back online I'm gonna change my name to get my good rep back and I aint gonna join any political discussion anymore (that almost got me banned thank you very much)

MulberryGal
02-24-2006, 12:24 PM
I didn't get an email! Did you sign up to receive emails or something?

Politics is always a mistake on that site... I tried to keep away from it and just talk about films, music and TV as much as possible...

Mul,

If you were already a registered member on the site, you should have received an email. Otherwise, wait till the site goes up and re-register.

I don't remember signing up for updates, but I did receive them from time to time, so maybe I did.

Political topics caused great distress on that site. I tried to steer clear of any controversy.
Exception - I did get vocal with the supposed Lohan/BW item that was mentioned in a NY paper. The thread was eventually eliminated. A disclaimer was printed about that, wasn't it? I hope so.
An added note: on Google today, Lohan is mentioned as staying at BW's place in Turks/Caicos. BUT it was added that Lohan is a friend of Rumer's.
