With all the kissing Thelma and Michael did in front of their family, it made me wonder, is anyone else here comfortable with kissing (long kissing) in front of your family? I could never do that, no matter what. I can hold hands, or hug my man or something similar, but never could I kiss a man in front of my family the way Michael and Thelma were able to in front of theirs.

To me, kissing is a private affair..I would never shove my tongue down my boyfriend's throat in front of my family (not cool)..a little peck on the forehead is fine...

see, we think alike 70's!!! I couldn't and wouldn't do such a thing in front of family, especially at your family's home. Love can be shown, and affection can be shown without your tongue in someone's mouth. Like you said, that's private stuff...besides, when being kissed like that, I would head straight for the bedroom!!!! :happyface

I don't see anything wrong with kissing your boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife in front of your family. But not the way Kieth and Thelma were kissing when they were sitting on the couch and just going to town. I kiss my husband in front of my family all the time but it's NOT a tongue wrestling kiss LOL. When a couple is sitting there makeout in front of others, it makes people feel uncomfortable.

Remember the episode when they were having a party, And Michael and Olivia (I think that was her name) making were out in the middle of the room while dancing. And Wilona kept breaking them up.

Heck no! I'm so introverted and shy that even a peck in front of other people would be embarrassing. :o  Plus, I don't want to see MY family members doing that, so why would I subject them to constant PDAs??
Kissing on TV is usually more for show & shock value. I couldn't imagine kissing like that in front of my relatives either, thats reserved for private times.
