My all-time favorite teacher was a college Psychology professor I had two years ago. Professor Rooney was the nicest man I ever had the pleasure of meeting, and it was such a treat to go to his class. I took him for Child and Adolescent Psychology and he made the subject so fun. He was so friendly, so funny, so warm...he kinda reminded me of an older John Ritter (kinda looked like him too :lol: ) He always told us he was so lucky to be teaching, so we knew right off the bat that he was passionate about it and wanted to be there. Most of the time he cracked jokes, but at the same time, we always came out of that class knowing so much about psychology. He truly is amazing. My friend liked him so much that she bought him a Sigmuend Freud action figure...lol, he loved it.

I went to a very small rural elementary school. In fact the school consisted of grades K- 12! My husband graduated the year that I was in the 5th grade. We were in the same school but didn't meet until years later, Well, anyway my favorite teacher was my 5/6 teacher. I had her for 2 years. She was an elderly woman whom I adored! She always was so interesting and interested in her students. She took us on many field trips and always made each holiday a special event. Our classroom was always decorated for each major holiday. And she always had special projects for us to do. She was totally dedicated! I loved her! Sadly she passed away many years ago but I will always remember my 2 grades with her as a happy and precious time of my life!:happyface Her name was Grace Hunn. She was awesome!:D

That would be my Psychology Professor in college. Her lectures would mesmermize the students. We stayed in contact for several years but eventually lost touch.

I really love all of my teachers. I would have to say my all time favorites are my current english teacher, my junior US history teacher, my junior english teacher, and my sophomore english teacher. The male honors teachers, which include all that I mentioned, at my school are in some kind of "Male Teacher Gang" as we call it and they're all pretty much awesome. I love how they're all really good teachers, but they also joke around and aren't all work work work with their students.

My favorite teachers were in 7th and 8th grade, but Ms. 'C' wins my heart. I had her both years. We still see eachother a lot and keep in contact. She's like your best friend (that you never had, in my case)

Mrs. Grow in 5th grade. I was shy so I never really did talk or have any discussions with any of my teachers, but she had us write journal entries and so that sort of helped me open up. She told me that I reminded her of her when she was my age and that we seemed to think alike and have a lot in common. She was who made me want to write. I would write something quickly, something I thought was crap and when we read it to the class she would listen shocked, as if it were a masterpiece. She said I should seriously consider becoming an author. So, yeah, she had a lot of influence on me. I really miss her, haven't seen her since my last day of 6th grade. She retired that year.

Anyway my all-time favorite would be my 7th grade english teacher, my 1st grade teacher and my 6th grade english teacher. All of them were nice, and my 1st grade teacher didnt yell, she just told the kids nicely to stop acting up, which worked more then yelling, and my 7th grade teacher was funny and made jokes a lot and her class was fun, and my 6th grade english teacher was just really nice.

My third grade teacher is my favorite of all time. Three of my sisters had her. I was very lucky to have her as a teacher during a time when I had trouble communicating and was scared to go to school every day out of fear I would get sent to the principal's office and get yelled at (he once yanked a phone out of my hand and gave me a very nasty glare because I had trouble talking to my mother about something that happenedl; this was when I was in 2nd grade) She was the first teacher who really understood me and probably the only one during my years at elementary school.

I have my favorite teacher this year. (Coach Rawls) He's hilarious and everyday I laugh my ass off in his class. ah,yes.......It makes the depression go away for a little while,anyway

I just look forward to forth hour everyday. I'v had some good memories in that class. Too bad my last day of that class is in 2 weeks!

Mr. Austin. The greatest teacher you will ever meet. He was my sophomore English teacher, and my acting teacher as well. I don't have him yet this year, I do next semester. He has a very interesting way of teaching, he's hilarious, he's more like a friend than a teacher. He's just an all around awesome guy and I heart him. SO excited for his class this year.

My one and only teacher was Mrs. Whipps. She was my elementary school art teacher who knew about my bad times in school and often got me out of class for special assigments. She also pushed me to compete for a spot in the classes at the Art Institute, and I managed to win a spot for many years. She had a lot of confidence in me at a time in my life when I really needed it. She was a lil more than just a favorite teacher, she was like a guardian angel to me. :)

my eighth grade algebra teacher. she was funny as hell, especially while she chewed out students who were acting up..lots of high pitched voice mimicking and witty ways of saying things. whenever i heard her yelling at someone i'd be listening closely and giggling at everything she said.
my sophomore english teacher. a lot of kids thought she was a bitch but they were just the ones whom she punished all the time for misbehaving. she was cool and smart. i remember her sort of ridiculing most of the students once for hating gays when they'd probably never even met one. she let me get away with saying "holy sh-t" out loud after she announced that my friend had been killed the night before, i know of many teachers who would have just idiotically told me to watch my language or sent me to the office.

There are two teachers that I had in high school that I absolutley adored. Words cannot describe how amazing these two women are. One of them was there for me at a time in my life when no one else was. And the other helped me remember what it was like to be truly happy and why I should love myself no matter what anyone else says. I'm so thankful that I met and got to know them.

I've had a few.

- My kindergarten teacher. She is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. She just adored being able to work with kids. :) Some years ago (I think '98 or so) she quit teaching kindergarten and moved up to teaching second grade. She loved teaching kindergarten but wasn't feeling challenged enough after teaching it for so many years.

- My 7th grade geography teacher. I also had a crush on him, he was EXTREMELY good-looking AND an awesome teacher on top of that. Man...He was so funny. He loved telling lame and cheesy jokes to the class. The students would always laugh at them because of the way he told the jokes. My desk was always next to his desk...Even more awesome, hehe. I miss that. He moved away at the end of my 7th grade year and I haven't seen him since. :( Hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago.

- My junior year English teacher. MAN, now THAT is a lady who really knows her stuff! She was one of these very firm and strict teachers, but she was very good to all her students and always willing to help her students if they had problems with the material. I had her English class at a bad time of the day...7th period, last class of the day so she was usually cranky after dealing with misbehaving students in her six previous classes. There were two stupid ******* boys who always clowned around in my class...they hardly ever obeyed her. :mad: Otherwise it was all good and really not that bad. I miss her class...I would do my junior year all over again if I could because that was such a fun year. :)

- Last but not least, my 8th grade English teacher. I freaking ADORED my teacher that year. She was literally one of THE best teachers in the state and is even a National Board Certified Teacher now, I think the highest a teacher can achieve. She was (still is) VERY passionate about teaching English and pushed each and every one of her students to do their best in her class. My sister had the same teacher for English when my sis was in 7th grade (the year I was in 4th) so we knew each other for a good 4 years before I finally ended up with her for 8th grade English. There were a LOT of fun things we did in class. I cannot possibly list them all...some of them included a Friday reading workshop where we would spend the entire class time reading a book of our choice...Having hot chocolate parties in class (happened frequently)...Helping her to decorate her room for whatever season/holiday it was at the time...etc. I LOVED when we got to help her with Christmas decorations...She hung these long wreaths from the ceiling, I forgot what they were called...she had us toss tinsel over them. Man, that was freaking awesome. :biglove: We hit it off immediately and became more than friends, more like sisters or something. I still correspond with her regularly, but have not seen her in 2-1/2 years. :( I miss her sooooo much. She gives the BEST hugs too...I would love to be able to talk to her face-to-face and give her a big hug. That is a pretty big deal because I am not a hugger and will only hug a few people.

My favorite teachers were my third grade teacher, Mrs. Miner, and my sixth grade teachers, Mrs. Ver Plank and Mrs. Kiley.:)

I spent 20 minutes trying to come up with a decent answer for this, but the fact of the matter is I've simply had a disproportionately high number of GOOD teachers over the years.

Mine was my key stage 4 Art teacher Miss Day-Lewis. She was kind and totally calm but she was a little bit strict and I called her 'Mum' a few times

He used to stand on desks and act out the french words...lol. Mr. Rooney, however, stands out as the best teacher out of all my years. I'd take him again if he offered a class within my requirements :(

Not yet, I turn 21 in 2006. I started junior high more than eight years ago so it's pretty close to a decade now :) However...I went to a 5th-8th grade middle school and I DID start middle school 10+ years ago.

My favorite Teacher was 10th Grade her name was Mrs. Maggio.. I miss her she was a real nice lady I didnt like my 11th & 12th grade teacher she was a real B ***hhhhhhhhhhh..!!!!

I started middle school 14+ years ago (August 1991). The last time I was in middle school was May 1994. It's strange to think that everyone that was in middle school when I was in middle school (1991-1994) are all in their mid 20's now, (between the ages of 25-27)

I guess my favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Petterson. Through an odd
turn of events, our class had her for both 1st Grade and 2nd Grade. And every
year--even after we had finished high school and some of us had finished
college--she sent us a Christmas card. (And she had white hair when she
taught 1st Grade. I don't how old she lived to be.) But that little gesture
shows how much she thought of her favorite pupils.

My highschool chem/physics teacher. She was a cheerleader in college, and man she had an awesome body. She couldn't teach a lick of science, but did I care? Not a whole lot.

I never liked any of my teachers, but then they never liked me.

Gosh! It so nice that so many seemed to have such loveable teachers. How would you like to have these teachers I had?

Kindergarten- My K teacher was notorious for making misbehaved 5 year olds sit underneath a table on the floor in the back of the room on the dirty floor. She was a loud, mouthy, and impatient obnoxious know -it -all. Her sons who were just like her ticked off some guy with a gun at some strip lounge and shot them. Two died.

1st grade- It was only her 2nd year of teaching and she was really, really bad. She only paid attention to favorites, and nobody else existed for her. Her faves would pick on and make fun of the less popular kids and she would sit there and do nothing. This *itch didn't have a clue. She tried to have us to do all these art projects that were kind of too advanced for six and seven year old hands and kids would be droppping things and making messes. She would take your things away from you if she felt you couldn't complete the project without making a mess.

3rd Grade- This scary woman is about 6'2" and she is still scary today when I see her around town. She was really a woman who should have lost her certificate. She would just slam kids into the wall when they were misbehaved. One time she pulled a kid up from his chair by the back of the shirt and was marching him towards the back of the room and he tripped and fell headfirst into the wall making this loud "thud."
The next day the kid's father came barging right into the classroom because he had to take his son to the emergency room tat morning for dizziness and double-vision. He really ripped this woman a new one. I mean he was really screaming at her and telling her stuff like she would never teach again and that he was going to the news and reporting child abuse. The teacher became so pale while insisting she was trying to keep control of her classroom.

Fourth grade- She was a gifted teacher, but for some reason she was switched to fourth grade. She gave a ton of busy homework everynight and all these stupid projects, and it was impossible to nearly complete it when you had regular homework. She never gave a grade on it. She would collect the work from the students and slice it up with the paper cutter and trash it. If you didn't turn it in you had to do it double that night. If you still didn't turn it in she made you do it triple. I was sick that year and spent maybe two or three months out of school. This woman would call my house and tell my mother that she was coming to check me out herself because she felt I should be in school already. This teacher was very good friends with my third grade teacher. I still see these psychos shop around town together today. I could write a book on this arrogant, snotty, and threatening woman who had no place in a classroom. Both women are still 6'2."

Fifth grade- Boy, would she make the headlines today about religion in the classroom. I went to a public school, but this woman would make us sing a few hymns every morning after The Pledge, say The Lord's Prayer, and we had to say a personal prayer to God ourselves. It usually consisted asking the Lord to help us do good in school and stay out of trouble. I usually prayed to God to get me out of that classroom. Sometimes on Friday afternoons she would bring in these church people to sing and pray in our classroom. One time they passed out bibles to all of the kids. I don't think that would go over today too well. Her brother was also a local Cub Scout leader, and she would call all of the male students at home and try to talk them into joining Cub Scouts. I finally went to a meeting to shut her up so she would stop calling me and asking me in class if I was going to Cub Scouts.

Sixth grade- My first male teacher I ever had probably had some sort of mental problem. I have no idea how he became a teacher or why, but he was a WWII veteran and would talk about nothing except the war. That is fine, but I just don't think he was "all there", and probably did not belong in a classroom with kids. I learned nothing in that class, and he wondered why his students always got low marks. I usually did good in school, but I was getting C minuses and D's. Like he would be trying to explain a math problem or something, and all of a sudden he would break out "You know, back during the war..." I mean all of the kids would bring records to school and we would play records all afternoon sometimes SKIPPING our regular subjects. This had to be the weirdest class I was ever in. I don't know how he kept his job. I know the school's other 6th grade would come in acting like she was needing something, but when I think of it now I think she was spying. At Christmas some kid got him a model of some kind of WWII plane and he just babbled all day about receiving that model plane.

Eighth grade English teacher- I think she had some personal issues. She was always, cranky, mean, and unapproachable. She was the talk of the junior high. Well, she broke a leg and she had to come to class using crutches. Some kid who had a constant problem with whispering ticked her off one time too many, and she FLUNG a crutch ACROSS the room I think to hit that kid, and she ended up hitting another student in the face and breaking their glasses. She was fired on the spot. I think the rest of her classes that day just went to study hall.


I'm sorry,I didn't mean to the change the subject, but because of these weirdos I was cursed with I just can't believe so many people have/had good teachers. School was living hell for me, and I still have stories yet.

I've had some weirdos myself:


7th grade English teacher- she was a nice lady but she kept bragging about how her son was such a great football player and that he would one day make the NFL.

8th grade music teacher- the guy smelled like BO. It was really horrible. The last day before Christmas break, my friend brought in deoderant.

8th grade Spanish teacher- everyday was like WWIII in that class. My teacher cried one day when we were acting really bad.

11th grade Earth Science teacher- all period, the woman kept telling us about Ohio and her 2 1/2 years in Africa.

My all-time favorite teacher would have to be my fifth grade teacher.
There are, honestly, no words to describe her.
She has done so much for me, and I love her more than I do my own mother!

I know the aforementioned sounds corny, but it's so true. :)
