View Full Version : Michael and Penny
bansogirl 11-28-2005, 03:20 PM During the episode where they were trying to raise money to save the daycare center, Michael and Penny performed together. Am I the only one who saw some chemistry there? I mean...the way they were lookin' into each other's eyes, holding hands...I think they actually looked good together. I think that if GT was real, Penny would have later developed a crush on Michael, and that crush would eventually become mutual on Michael's part. Then in the future they would both get married and have 3 kids. :p
Brieannas21 11-28-2005, 04:35 PM Well I read somewhere that Ralph gave Janet her first kiss behind the scenes on the Good Times set.
To me it would have made better sense to have Penny have a crush on Michael instead of JJ.
gilligan fanatic 11-28-2005, 05:40 PM I agree with GCW, but how much older was Michael than Penny?

about 5 yrs older I'm guessing

That's not a big age difference. They could've hooked up...when Penny got older of course. :p

I wonder if it was a peck on the lips or an actual deep kiss...  :rotflmao:

LOL I would think a peck.
bansogirl 11-29-2005, 01:37 AM Also, in a lot of the episodes, his arm is around her. There was always chemistry between the two. I seriously think that as the years rolled by, Michael & Penny fell deeply in love. ;)

yeah I guess 5 isn't that much

Yeah you are right-LOL It was kind of ODD to for a character that young to have a crush on a grown man
vashti1999 11-29-2005, 12:43 PM I don't care what people say...I think you're nice, and I will always love you...

 That's funny. It's a direct quote from Penny to JJ.

I can almost guarantee it was a simple peck.
Ireneparalegal 12-01-2005, 03:07 PM uuuugh, I don't know abt you, but Ralph was so damn good looking as an adolescent, but how he looks like now, makes me wanna barf knowing that he may have given Janet anything more than a peck. I pray it was just a peck and that anything more is pure imagination on someone's part.

 But dude, since he was so damn good looking as an adolescent, wouldn't it be nice to think of him, as the adolescent, deep-kissing someone? :happyface
Brieannas21 12-01-2005, 04:23 PM Lets not say adolescent, make it young man. When you say adolescent that make me think of a 13/14 yr old. Grosses me out LOL
And yes Ralph was very good looking when it was younger. In one pic someone posted not too long ago he doesn't look all that bad. He's still not my type but, he's not a monster.

That's true. I guess I just can't get that damn pic of him outta my head!!
catlover79 06-15-2007, 12:54 AM Yes, I think maybe somewhere down the line Michael and Penny would've ended up together, uniting the Evans/Woods/Anderson family even more. Michael always was very protective of Penny, not to mention a million times more stable (and normal) than JJ. I like to think that Michael and Penny would've fallen in love, he would've passed the bar and waited for her to grow up and finish school. Then they would've married and lived happily ever after.
P.S. Don't forget that their duet ("You Don't Have to Be a Star to Be in My Show") was made a hit by a real-life husband and wife who are still married today (Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr.).
