I have to say, this is the episode that really makes me laugh. More than any other episode. As sick as I was, I was laughing my ass off. When JJ said "Bye!" I cracked up. It was hilarious.


BTW, I have a question on this for all of you. Do you think that considering the family always had a hard time getting ahead, do you think it was wise for them to "splurge" the $35 extra they had left over?

Not really because you have to treat yourself sometimes. You can't just work everyday to pay rent and bills.

They could have saved it for rent so that the next month they wouldn't have had such a hard time coming up with the rent money. Like Retro said sometimes you have to treat yourself, but that's hard to do when your struggling. But when you have the chance, spend all the money you want.

Yeah, especially since it seems that almost every episode (with James in it) had them struggling. It would have been okay, I think, for them to put 1/2 the money aside for emergencies and the rest for maybe going to the movies or going out to a really nice dinner.

I think they should have save it up, for another emergency that always seemed to come up. Not that $35 was a lot to save, but every little bit helps.

I'm just mad that when she admitted that she ate dog food on a regular basis they just seemed to be okay with it. You know, long as it wasn't in their meat loaf.:eek:

They were ok with it because SHE was okay with it...you can't tell people how to live or what to eat...all they could do is offer her money thru voice lessons because Gerdie wouldn't take the $$$ any other way; she's too proud.
