I could not stand that damn crying...it was annoying to see her in such a pitiful role like that. The only time she didn't cry was when the tenants helped her with her rent and when she played a character for the first time on Good Times, she was in the womens' group and her character was abused by her husband. She was awesome in 227 with Marla Gibbs. She also appeared very briefly in "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson. She played a mugging victim who fought back. bansogirl 11-29-2005, 01:22 AM I could not stand that damn crying...it was annoying to see her in such a pitiful role like that. Also one of the members in this thread noticed the RED BANNED under my username and wanted to know what happen. But getting back to Wanda. I think the only time she didn;t bother me was in the episode "Investigation" She was normal and not crying and they should have had more eps with her being regular and not crying. bansogirl 12-01-2005, 10:26 PM I was accidently banned yesterday for 9 hours and they were just talking about me being back. I liked her in Rent Party ok too, but when she was on the cryin' jag in The Big Move pt 2 at James' funeral, that was too much. Even kind of tacky. By the way, GLAD you're back Solomon!!!;) Ireneparalegal 12-02-2005, 12:40 AM Okay, why are ya'll talking about Solomon when this forum is supposed to be about Weepin' Wanda? offtopic: get used to it girlfriend...threads can start off one way and end up TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!! Sorry folks but Weeping Wanda made me laugh, especially when they thought the wino was dead. dressed in drag, he started crying while wanda was and she broke out of character and basically let ole girl know to cool it this was her gig. Yes you wondered how folks could cry so much but Wanda represented the professional funeral goer, a person that provides the tears and the ole lords whether they knew the person or not. So for those that did like Wanda's foolishness, that's because each character on that show represented a relative or somebody in the neighborhood or church we knew.
