What is this AVI Chunk Viewer? I get this message window once in a while, but I hope it wasn't a pop-up ad or anything. I researched and didn't really find anything about it other than it being a Codec plugin or something. Why does it come up?
Robyrob, are you familiar with this?

You have to uninstall AVI Splitter to make it stop. See this (http://www.free-codecs.com/guides/How_to_install_uninstall_DLL_and_AX_files.htm) small guide. Usually, AVI Chunk Viewer pops up when AVI files have a missing footer.

Thanks, Rob! :)
Funny thing is that this message pops up unexpectedly, it seems. I am usually not running any AVI files, unless they are reading from my Windows Media playlist.
What is an "AVI footer?"

do you have any media programs running in the background?
an "AVI footer" - like any file footer - is basically the information that tells your media player that the file is ending, this is especially important with large video or audio files, because some files may not be completely downloaded, or may be missing file information. This ChunkViewer is a special program that helps with viewing partial files.
