Who's your favorite character on Taxi and why?

Jim Ignatowski, hands down. It would have been a very good sitcom without Reverend Jim, but Christopher Lloyd made the show great. My favorite scene has to be the costume party where the guy in the dinosaur costume walks by and Jim says "You Again!!!" and he turns to his friends and says "I see that guy wherever I go".

Mine would be Reverend Jim because he was so damn funny!!

louie because he was soooo sneaky with things.

I also liked Jim the best. The Louie character was somewhat nasty after awhile. Not a very lovable character but he was funny if he didn't have too many scenes during a show. I agree that if any of the characters had left, the show would still have been super successful.

I liked John from the first season the best. I wish he had stayed on for longer.

Okay, I'm sure I can't spell it, but Simka was always my favorite. Carol Kane's such a riot!

Everyone had great parts and it fit together well but my favorite was Jim. His serious, sad side came out when his dad died, when he wrote poetry to Elane and his relationship with his siblings. But he could drop a comic bombshell of a line out of the blue that would have me laughing for days afterward. He was like a child and like a child, funny as hell to watch. You had to watch out, Simka has less opportunities but she could blow you away also. Thought she was kinda cute too.. :rolleyes:

I would have to say louie becuase he was so sneaky just like me

I like all of them, with the exception of John and occasionally Jim.

My Favourite character has to be Jim, so many classic lines. Christopher Lloyd created an icon..pure genius.

I liked Latka a lot. Especially the time he sort of changed into Elvis, and brought his record player to work so he could sing along. He kept doing Elvis, while Louie got madder and madder. Classic!

Louie because he reminds me of my former bosses at a grocery store and Wal-Mart. Dictator like leaders!!

Jim for me. After him would either be Alex, or Louie, I can't decide which. But fir me, Jim's my favourite, I've been a fan of Chris Lloyd ever since I saw him in "Back to the Future."

For me, my mom used to always compare me to Louie, b/c I would almost always laugh and sometimes be sneaky just like him. :lol:

Others: Elaine (I always liked her and found her to be sexy)
Alex (b/c he's usually the sane one)

IGGY without a doubt - "people walking around naked in public places, sex that means no-more than a handshake on the street, orgies where anything goes.........call me corny but I miss those things.:lol:

I always loved Simka and still do, but rewatching as an adult, I think I have to say Jim. The eccentricities and dark side of his character weren't lost on me as a teenager, I just didn't appreciate them the way I can now. I also like Alex.
