hi i was just thinking about how some brady ep's have a subplot thats better than the main story here are the subplots i like 1the durmmer boy from season 2 the main story about peter getting hassled by his football team because he sings in glee club was an ok story but i loved the b story about bobby becoming a jr.keth moon/peter criss on the drums and driving the rest of the family up a wall 2. today iam a freshman marica joining just about every club in high school to be popular was interesting but this ep will always be remembered for the subplot in wich peter bulds a volcaino and his catch phrase little puffs of smoke are gonna come out and lavas gonna ooze all over the place .3 you cant win them all this ep has both a good main story and subplot the main story as all of us brady fans know involves both cindy and bobby getting picked to be on a tv show and bobby blowing it by thinking hes too smart to study and cindy getting on the show and her ego growing as big as the brady house itself .but the subplot involving the bradys trying to throw a dinner party was made funny by robert reed and his funny takes and reactions to the chaos and mess involed in trying to organize what was supposed to be a simple dinner party for a few friends his suilliquy near the end was a classic what eps were there where you liked the b story better than the a story?

You can't top Bobby playing the drums!!! How about this:

Bobby: I picked my instrument Alice!!!!, I'll go tell everybody!!!"

Alice (to Carol): "Oh! what instrument did he pick?!!!"

Carol: "Behold..."(directing her to the back of the car.)

Alice: "DRUMS!!!????"

Carol: "Yea, it really encouraged his moral."

Alice: "I'm just not so sure what it's gonna do for OUR moral!"

Carol: "His music teacher encouraged him. She said he had just the right qualifications"

Alice: "Oh, what qualifications does a kid need to play drums?"

Carol: "A mother with a station wagon!!!!" hahahahahaha

Alice (to Carol) "You know Mrs. Brady, the more I hear Bobby play, the more I'm convinced that drumsticks are for turkeys!!" (a little more dialogue here)

Carol: "Alice....Bobby hasn't improved at all has he?"

Alice: "Mrs. Brady, every day he plays just a little worse than the day before. And today he's playing like tommorrow!!!!!" hahahahahahaha!!!


Bobby: "Well, gee, I know how much you wanted me to be a drummer, but would you be too dissapointed if I quit?"

Mike: "Quit the drums?"

Carol: "Forever??" hahahahaha!!!!

Than after some dialogue when Carol and Mike say that you shouldn't pretend to enjoy things just to please other people if you aren't happy doing them yourself. Bobby says, "That really makes it neato!!! There's another kid in school George and HE wants to be a drummer......He's gonna play the drums and I'm gonna play his instrument!!!??

Carol: "His instrument???!!!" hahahaa

Bobby takes it out.

Carol: "THE BUGLE!!!!!!!????"

Then he's trying to play it at like 6:00 in the morning and Mike and Carol are awakened:

Carol: " (sleepily) Mike, is that Bobby?

Mike: "It's not Gabrielle."

Mike: "I think he's trying to play Revellre."

Carol: "Your not going to get up are you?"

Mike: "Just long enough to tie a knot in his bugel!!!!!" hahahaha

(Next Mike's "I Can't Believe It" speech from "You Can't Win Em All") Reed was a MASTER in his delivery here!!!) It's on the board, and I am gonna post it again here because it is so damn funny!!!)

Here it Is!!!! "Mike's Classic Soliliquy!" (From: "You Can't Win Em All")

"You know....I don't beleive this! First we're going to have a few friends over...barbaque steaks. Then we switch to a Mexican dinner so we can invite more people, and I run all over town in search of authentic Mexican food. But than we switch to a smorgishboard so we can invite friends, and friends of friends, and relatives and assorted drop ins! And NOW, I have got enough Mexican food, to feed every guitar player in Guadalajara! AND I'VE CORNERED THE MARKET ON HAREING!!!! AND NOW... I FIND OUT THAT WE ARE HAVING A PARTY FOR 26 PEOPLE ON THE 10TH, AND THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO AREN'T GOING TO BE HERE, ARE US!!"

In the "Career Fever" episode, the main plot has Mr. Brady mistakenly thinking that Greg wants to follow in his steps and become an architech, but I found the subplot more interesting, with the other kids choosing careers. Peter wants to be a doctor; Jan, a nurse; Bobby, an astronaut; and Cindy, a model. Peter doesn't read his disease book very carefully (two pages get stuck together), and he thinks he's dying! Of course, it turns out to be only poison ivy. "You'll itch, but you'll live!" Carol tells him. :lol:

My favorite subplot (not better than the actual episode plot but works quite nicely together with it) was Bobby and Cindy's home safety campaign in the "Porkchops and Applesauce" episode. I can just picture the Bradys having those fire drills on a regular basis, not to mention getting rid of all those octopuses ("octupusses? octopi?") from their electrical outlets! :lol:

In "My Sister, Benedict Arnold," I liked the plot about the dunking booth better than the dealings between Greg and Marcia over Warren Mullaney.
