I like the fact that this show is completely relatable. Despite being set in a different decade, I am sure we've all had friends like the ones on the show and have done the same things (hanging out, trying to look for some crazy stuff to do). We've all known the nerd, the cool girl who hung out with all the guys, the rocker, the dumb jock, the spoiled princess, and the weird foreign kid(or just plain weirdo...lol). Some of us have also had the father that rode our asses all the time and the mother who drank herself to oblivion...lol. Anyone agree? This show is so completely real.

That's why it's survived as long as it did. That 80s Show showed us that just throwing out novelty stuff from a certain era doesn't make a big hit. Strong writing, a talented cast, and relatable situations do.

i agree i was a little kid in the era when the show was set and even back then i knew some people like the gang from point place i think thats why i like the show so much i also like it because it dosent try to send messages it dosent try to be all serious it just trys its best to make us laugh and sometimes thats what we all need
