Just in time for Thanksgiving we are getting our first dose of Lake Effect snow. (For those who don't know what lake effect is, basically it is when cold air comes from Canada and crosses lake Erie, or any lake for that matter, and collects moisture from the lake leading to heavy snowfalls! Same reason Buffalo gets so much) I guess they are calling for up to 2 feet of snow in the Snow Belt. I hope we don't get that much here. Is it snowing anywhere else out there?

None here, obviously, but it is rather cool. 61 right now, and it'll probably get down to low 50's/high 40's tonight. That's cold for us!!

I was just in OH last week and it snowed that morning but about half of it was melted by afternoon. I was talking to this girl and she says "I'm not ready for this weather, it was 71 degrees just 2 days ago!"

Yep, it snowed here in the Albany area, I live across the river, about an hour from the Berkshires so we get whatever they get. It snowed yesterday and we're getting snow tomorrow morning.

We're supposed to get about an inch of snow tonight. As of now I think we're in a winter weather advisory. I'm exited... I love winter.

We got some snow this afternoon, maybe 3/4 of an inch. I'm in Ohio too. It was the good kind of snow: the really sticky stuff that coats all the trees making them really pretty and the kind that makes great snowballs!

We had some snow here in Mid-Michigan today. The ground is covered in white but we are only expected to get 2 inches. The lake effect snowfalls(especially in Western Michigan- Lake Michigan side) are to get a lot more snow. But as usual it puts me in the Christmas mood. Today I brought all of my Christmas decorations up from the basement and I will decorate on Friday as usual:D My husband put up all our Christmas lights out side today. He is getting worse than me with holidays!:lol:

it hasn't really snowed here in a few years. i hate snow anyway. i don't know about you all but i'd rather be warm and dry and comfortable than out bound to catch a cold and wearing jacket after jacket (that are just going to get wet and dirty) to the point of uncomfort to prevent feeling like the unbearably cold weather from is going to off my circulation.

and for no reason in particular i would like to make it clear that i god damn can't stand the stereotype that it's hot all year round in arizona. it gets just as effing cold here as it does anywhere else, we just have shorter winters than most other states.

We have about 4-5 inches of snow last time I checked. It will be a white Thanksgiving.

Its only 16 degrees here right now with the snow on the ground, and its SUNNY. Wind chill is -6.
