View Full Version : Andy Kaufman Proven to be Alive ? The Gooch 03-03-2001, 03:19 PM In the early to mid nineties, the TV show Hard Copy had an episode that supposedly had video evidence of Andy Kaufman alive and well and living on a deserted island somewhere. Does anyone else remember this ? Brett Ferino 06-20-2001, 11:24 AM He is not alive. He is DEAD. The Gooch 06-30-2001, 01:55 PM Physically he may be dead, but the fact that people know his name and are still talking about him seventeen years after his demise, lends credence to the fact that cheating death doesn't necessarily have to exist on a literal level. Austin Tripper 08-16-2001, 04:30 AM he is DEAD.. his friend Bob Zumda (sp?).. wrote a book .. and in the book he said he was dead. * Man on the moon was made from that book.. and if you remember the last scene.. (well in the book, they go into more detail and he admits that he thought up the whole.. comedy club idea.. because andy died.. and wanted to give a tribute and plus a cool joke on the public ,again!) The Gooch 08-23-2001, 03:51 PM I know, I read the book. But if you want to see something interesting, go to the "Celebrating Andy Kaufman Society" homepage. In the discussion section, in one of the forums under the heading "Andy Lives", they have a still frame from the end of "Man on the Moon" when Tony Clifton is singing "I will survive". In the audience clapping, is someone who looks like Kaufman if he were fifty years old. A little less hair, but look at the face and the way the hands are positioned. He may indeed be dead, but it's interesting to see nonetheless. |
