View Full Version : So, what is everybody doing for Thanksgiving?
phoebe7165 11-22-2005, 09:27 PM What I like to do every year, STAY HOME!! I usually have the Macy's parade on in the morning. My parents & my sister will be here later. Nothing too exciting but I saw where there's a ton of stuff on TV. That's pretty much it for me but I like it that way.

CollegeDropout 11-23-2005, 01:07 PM my town has the annual thanksgiving day football game in the morning vs. our rivals, so me and my friends are going to go to that and then afterwards my family, cousins, and all the random relatives are coming to my house for thanksgiving dinner, and I can tell you know that the majority of guys will be watching football in HD...its hard to get a seat in the family room b/c there are so many in my family but its always entertaining. My boyfriend is either going to come for desert or I am going to my bestfriend for desert. Then at night, prob. going drink with kids, you know, the usual...its nice being home from school

Otherwise, I'm just gonna eat dinner with my immediate family. It's going to be a quiet holiday this year :)
Sharop 11-23-2005, 06:23 PM Although in the UK Thanksgiving isn't celebrated, my mother is American and this year she's planning to invite some of our friends over for a Thanksgiving dinner. I've attended one before, when I was over in America in November when I was 11 (back in 1999.) We went to my aunt's house and the whole family was there. It was good fun.

Stormtracker TF 11-24-2005, 07:29 AM I'm staying home as usual, and my Mom is gonna make a big dinner...Have a few relatives over like always. But that's a good thing in my opinion.

We are watching Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade plus a local parade in Saint Louis! Plus
having all that great thanksgiving food!
*MIBabe03* 11-24-2005, 10:33 AM Update: A guy is coming over after he's done with Thanksgiving dinner, we're just watching a movie at my house. At least I won't be alone.
Thanksgiving will be a bit different for me this year. For the first time ever I won't be spending the holiday with my immediate family (Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister). My sister and her husband are taking thier daughter up to the Cape Cod area for dinner with some friends. My parents decided to go down to thier condo in Myrtle beach for a week. Rather then make to trek to my Brother's house for the usual Thanksgiving events, I told my brother I had dinner plans with some friends here in NYC.
My Aunt heard that I was going to be alone on Thanksgiving, so she invited me to have dinner in Hoboken with her and my cousin.
It will actually work out well for me - dinner is at one (more like a Thanksgiving lunch) so I'll be back in the city early - plenty of time to catch up with my other friends for drinks somewhere.
Well, I'm off to catch a train. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Pass the yams.
;)
robyrob 11-24-2005, 02:47 PM i just got back from the field next to the Walmart parking lot where I performed the tradtional ritual where I stop Canadian Geese and ask to see their passports and threaten to have them over for dinner.
