Man! If Simon Cowell can't be on Idol next season, that would really suck. Ratings for AI would probably drop. The really bad and funny auditions and Simon's rude comments go hand-in-hand with each other and I think that's why more and more people watch in the beginning of the season and then follow it. American Idol would be nothing without Simon Cowell. Even though he's an ass sometimes, I hope he stays. :(

Im 99.9% sure that's untrue. Auditions have already been filmed and Simon's in them.

This whole big fiasco happened right before Season 3 started too, and it wound up being proven false. Same thing happened with Paula this year.

Well, the story was on Yahoo News, which I consider to be a reliable source. But they didn't say he was leaving for sure, so you might be right.

I really hope he doesn't leave. He is a vital part of the show. Just like when Paula's future on the show was uncertain...it made me realize how important the judges are to the show...not just their purpose, but one of the big reasons why I live AI. AI without Simon, Paula, or Randy, or even Ryan, wouldn't be AI.

I think its AI6+ that they're not sure about. He IS going to be on AI5, AI6...possibly not. Im pretty sure thery're just saying its S5 to get our attention so we can start talking about the next season. I mean, come on guys, think about it, would he really be in the auditions and hollywood rounds, but not the semi-finals and finals?

When it comes to Money on AI, Simon wants more and a raise everytime the show starts again. Plus he has other work that's he's doing in England. If Simon and the producers can't agree on anything to make simon happy then he can leave the show. It doesn't matter if he was in the auditons or not. But I think he will stay because he thinks Randy and Paula are to sweet on the kids. But who knows if its true or not.
