View Full Version : Which character would you like to have seen have a spin-off...
Ireneparalegal 11-22-2005, 03:37 PM and what would the scenario of the spin-off be?
I would like to have seen Willona have her own show WITHOUT PENNY. She would be seen dating and have Flo occasionally come over or have them interact. Something like that.
JeffRuss1972 11-22-2005, 04:03 PM That would have been interesting. I can't think of any other side character that would have been very good in a spinoff though.

NONE. None of the supporting characters were strong enough to have their own show. Not Michael, defintely not thelma, or Willona and don;t even get me started on Bookman.

I thought Bookman was your guy. Not that I'd want it but I could see Bookman in a spin-off, focusing on him as the super of a building with some of the tenants as side characters. Or maybe he gets a job as the head of a hotel and we see him interacting with different people.

He was my guy but not for a spinoff

That'd be cool.
Hey, what abt, what's his name, the pimp guy? Imagine, we see him with his "ladies" around and him hanging around his crib and doing all kinds of crazy things.

Len-nay or Sweet Daddy
TVFactFan 11-22-2005, 09:17 PM Len-nay or Sweet Daddy
Now you know they couldn't have a spinoff since they were occasional characters-lol
Ireneparalegal 11-22-2005, 10:15 PM But that's what's good abt having Sweet Daddy have his own show, we could see more of him...instead of 'occasionally'. LOL

Agreed
catlover79 07-05-2007, 01:46 AM I would've watched a Lenaaaaaay spinoff!!

I agree. Wilona would have been a good choice for her own show. I can just imagine all the situations she could get into, without Penny of course. She could be the manager of the boutique she works at and she and Florida would still be the best of friends. Maybe she could even get a date for Florida every now and then. :D
Bullet 07-17-2007, 10:49 AM They could have had Bookman divorce his wife, marry Willona, and run a hardware store.

I Agree! The only person I think that could have pulled a spin-off was JJ but I would really get tired of his character fast!
TVFactFan 07-17-2007, 02:27 PM I Agree! The only person I think that could have pulled a spin-off was JJ but I would really get tired of his character fast!
but he was considered one of the main characters so it really wouldn't be a spinoff it he had his own show unless it was while good times was still on the air
The Ghost Of James would have made for a cool show, they could have had him haunting an apartment building for instance.
CWDogg 07-17-2007, 10:40 PM 1. James in Alaska if he hadn't died
2." Kid Dynamite" starring JJ and costarring Cool Breeze , Poppo , Head. Thelma could make guest appearances and get hit on by "Poppo".
They could also call this " awesome foursome" and use the "united we stand" theme song.
3."The Boutique" starring Willona showing her working down at the boutique gossipping and telling off rude customers.
ThomasE 07-20-2007, 10:59 PM I could see Thelma and Keith in a spinoff. The housewife and mother taking care of a baby with Footbal hubby on the road, they cope with married life.
Bookman would have been another choice. Mrs. Bookman would have been the resident witch with capital "B".
-STEFFY- 07-21-2007, 02:34 PM I think I would have liked to have seen Wilonna get her own spin-off show, too. They could just show Penny once in a while or something. Wilonna was a funky, classy, sophisticated, smart lady. It would have been neat to see her dating nice guys and her getting hit on by doofy, nerdy guys.
CWDogg 07-21-2007, 11:21 PM Sock it to them Nathan - starring Mr.& Mrs. Bookman
everyweek he can encounter someone with a serious problem and he can tell them how he overcame the same thing.
Anouther JJ Idea - JJ could reunite with his rich girlfriend and get engaged and basically it would be JJ being out of place around a bunch of rich people. A 70's version of "Fresh Prince"
catlover79 07-21-2007, 11:26 PM How about "The REALLY Odd Couple" - starring Lenaaaaaaay and Balderman Davis.
sugamama 07-21-2007, 11:46 PM A Willona sitcom would have been funny. I don't think I would have been to interested in any of the other characters having a show.
