Who is your favorite 1980's housekeer?

Nell from Gimme A Break!

Tony from Who's the Boss?

Florence from the Jeffersons

or Mr. Belvedere from Mr. Belvedere

Nell Carter wins hands down in my book. She was the best! She had something none of the others had.

DONT FORGET TO BUY GIMME A BREAK SEASON 1 ON DVD FEBRUARY 14th!

Does Charles from Charles in Charge count as a housekeeper? I'd say him, but if not then I'm going with Mr. Belvedere since I haven't seen that show in YEARS but I remember I used to love it.

I would've said Mrs. Garrett, but I only really loved her on FOL and she wasn't a housekeeper on that show.

Well I don't think Nell was a Housekeeper she was a friends who was looking after her friends family.

So I would have to say my fav is a tie between Mr.Belvedere and Tony.

I wouldn't rule Charles out, but the term they used on the show was "live-in family helper."

Good choices so far, everyone. Especially Wildchats.. my list is exactly the same as yours!

My favorite 80's housekeeper is Florence from "The Jeffersons". She was hysterical and a lot of fun to watch. Her best scenes came when the sparks would fly between her and George. She was truly the best in my book.

I would say Florence from the Jeffersons, but she was funnier in the 70s. I will go with my man, Mr. Belvedere. That defined the 80s more.
