how many of you can remember what the very first Christmas special was that you saw?
For me, I guess it was a Bob Hope Xmas special, when I was growing up. 1964 0r 65, I think. Or maybe it was "Mr. Magoos Christmas Carol" in 1962.

As for sitcoms, I don't know-oh yea, I can vaugley remember seeing an Xmas episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies" when I was little. I think it was "Home for the Holidays" from the shows 1st season. It's one of the shows on that DVD from MCI.

As for dramas, I think it was an episode of "Dragnet"-the 60s version.

I certainly remember MR. MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL (NBC; 1962). In fact,
that was the very first animated TV special. Before that, my first TV Christmas
show was also probably one of Bob Hope's ... especially, since in the 1950s, we
only got one channel: NBC.

I think the first Christmas special I remember seeing as a child was A Charlie Brown Christmas.
