View Full Version : Favorite season?
Buffyboy323 11-22-2005, 01:52 AM What's everyone's favorite season???
I like 3 the best. I liked how Meg and Roxanne grew up alot. I also liked when JJ went to Vietnam. Those were very very sad, and well done episodes. and WHEN ARE THE REST OF THE SERIES COMING TO DVD?????
Does anyone think they will release the final 2 on dvd?
Leigh Ann 11-22-2005, 03:03 PM For me, it's a toss up between 1 & 3.
PrettyinPink55 11-22-2005, 04:27 PM I can't pick!!!
vashti1999 11-22-2005, 04:33 PM They were all good. At first I was slow to warm up to JJ going into the Army. I liked the first year when he was still in school playing football, but I ended up liking the change and not having a problem with it. Other than that, I've liked everything about all the seasons.
PrettyinPink55 11-22-2005, 04:38 PM I just wish we had a fourth. :(

Me too. :(
AD FAN 11-22-2005, 06:59 PM I love seasons one and three, but really only b/c they're fresh in my memory. (I have season 1 dvd).
benjamoon 11-22-2005, 07:56 PM 1 is my absolute favorite but I think 3 was really good. To me, season 2 was kinda a down year (but a down year for AD is a good year for most other shows)
Missstudnicka 12-31-2005, 06:08 PM I agree that season 2 wasn't as good. I liked season 3 the best, I think. I was a huge fan of Beth and JJ and I was sooooo happy when they got back together. I miss the show so much, but the books are pretty good. They bring up brand new plots, but follow the same storyline of the show(if that makes any sense:crazy: ). I really like them. Does anyone know if there is a book out after What Matters Most?

willsmyman26 01-01-2006, 05:22 PM what are these books you are talking about?? They seem interesting..can i have some more info about them??
..ps...my favorite season is season 3!!!
Missstudnicka 01-01-2006, 07:51 PM There is a teen book series based on the show. I have six, and I think they are all that's out. The books are written by many different authors. They are pretty good, but I am a teen so it could depend on who you are. I don't know if I would enjoy them if I hadn't watched the show, but I would find anything to get an extra dose of American Dreams. You can find more about them on amazon.com.
I'm not for sure what order they go in, but here they are.
Count on Me~Adam Beechen
Star Maps~Liz Tigelaar
End of Summer~Liz Tigelaar
Fair Play~Deirdre Shaw
Dance With Me~Emily Oz
What Matters Most~Diana G. Gallagher

Missstudnicka 01-01-2006, 11:07 PM No problem. I think I first learned about them when I was at Barnes & Noble looking around and I just happened to find them. They may be sold in Barnes & Noble, but the one that I live near doesn't sell them anymore(I don't think).

Does anyone know if these books are new stories, or just episodes written up as a book? I read some of the book summaries on Amazon.com, and they sound familiar to me.
Missstudnicka 01-02-2006, 10:01 PM Some of them(the first one especially) follow the first season pretty much. The last two that are out are pretty different from the show, but there is still the basic plot(ex.:Beth and JJ broke off their engagement and Beth is pregnant and JJ doesn't know about it, but it is mainly about how Meg is trying to save a cafe that is on the verge of shutting down--Meg also meets a guy that wasn't in the show-that I remember) The fifth one is about how she is trying to save the St. Catherine's Fair from closing(the fair that her and JJ went to ever since they were little). In another one-Star Maps I think, her and Roxanne go to LA for Bandstand, but it's different because they meet a few celebrities and(if I remember right) Meg doesn't hang around with any hippies. Those are differences I remember for some of the books. Basically the major events are the same in both, but there are minor plots in with the storyline. I hope that makes sense.:)
