For viewers who discovered this show in syndication was probably confused as to why Chrissy was not in the APT and only on the phone. So I feel that ALL the Phone scenes should have never been in syndication since it didn't make sense to first time viewers. The fact that it was explained in the episode-"DownHill Chaser" that Chrissy was away visting her sick mother should have been enough reason for her absence in season 5. So if the phone scenes was never in syndication, it could have been a REAL Surprise and a nice extra on the season 5 DVD.
