Butch Patrick, The Munsters, 1964-1966
Still laughing at his pointy-eared past
Little Butch Patrick was only 11 when he began his role as Eddie, the wee wolf boy on The Munsters. Although the show lasted only two seasons, its continuous repeats have made Eddie - if not Butch - a star. In 1970, Butch played Milo in the film adaptation of the children's classic The Phantom Tollbooth, and he even got a shot at another sitcom a year later with Lidsville. Sadly, that was Butch's last TV appearance until the '90s, when nostalgia for old shows like The Munsters generated calls for cameos - and Butch gladly made appearances, twice in animated form on The Simpsons. He also had fun with his past in the David Spade film Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star and on the reality show Star Dates. Now 52, Butch lives in Gardenia, Calif., and is a regular at nostalgia and TV conventions around the country.
