Jennifer Lopez Paris Hilton Terrell Owens dawsongirl 11-18-2005, 10:26 PM The Olsen Twins Michael [hXc] 11-18-2005, 10:32 PM Paris Hilton, definitely. she doesn't seem to have worked for her fame, it's just handed to her, being she's the "Hilton heiress" and all. I disagree with that a little, not that I can stand the Olsen Twins. While I think they got a lucky break on Full House. I don't really think they were handed an easy life, because they earned their money by working. Again I want to stress, I can't stand them. But Paris Hilton has done nothing to deserve "her" money. bad_boy 11-19-2005, 02:49 AM Paris Hilton Suzanne Somers Michael Jackson Ozzy Osbourne dawsongirl 11-19-2005, 03:09 AM Everyone in Hollywood. While I'm not a fan of the Olsen twins by any means, I do think they've had to work hard for their money their whole life. It isn't until recently that they became these Hollywood starlets. (I ain't talkin' 'bout no manicurist! ) Bootsy Whoosh 11-19-2005, 07:28 PM Has to be Terrell Owens. Many of you voted for Paris Hilton, and I can understand why, but on the other hand it's not Paris's fault she was born into a fortune, nor that our society puts people like her on a pedesta. If people would stop lapping up shows like Extra and buying Us magazine then Paris would be quietly rich and no one would care about her. She may be spoiled in the sense that she was born into such money, but I did see her on some talk show where she talked about some fashion line she was developing with her sister. So she is working, at least a little. Wow, I can't believe I defended her that much, I don't even like or care about her. But on the other hand, take Terrell Owens. He is blessed with his talent and is living the dream, but he is too dam* dumb to keep his mouth shut. He just threw away a $49.75 million job because of his immaturity! Sometimes you just gotta tow the line. Most of the other people on this thread are people who just happened to be born into money or who are idolized because we allow them to be. Terrell Owens is a sorry combination of ego-maniac and immature, insecure boy who needs to grow up. Despite his talent, I would not be sad to never see him play football again. The only way I ever want to see him on a field again is if he becomes a man, sincerely apologizes, and learns to shut up. Terrell, learn from Keyshawn Johnson if you want to keep your job. Sharop 11-19-2005, 08:14 PM I have to say, quite honestly, that I wouldn't wish that on any celebrity. I can understand why some people would want them to work - maybe it's just me, but I would never want any rich person, however spoiled I thought they were, to lose a lot of money and have to get a job for the rest of their life. It might be because I intensely dislike the idea myself...although I realise that unless some miracle comes along, then I'm going to have to get a job pretty soon. I'm quite prepared to work, and work hard, it's just I don't particularly relish the idea of doing it. What I really want is to write books and earn money from publishing those (hopefully a lot.) I've always had quite a profound love for my favourite entertainers - to name some musicians, the Beatles, the Bee Gees, Buddy Holly...and actors...Christopher Lloyd, Kelsey Grammer, Michael J. Fox...and it would be very bad for Michael J. Fox if he somehow lost all of his money; with his money, he can keep donating to charities that support Parkinson's Disease and stuff like that. Quite a few of them do good stuff with their money. I honestly don't believe I'd like that to happen to a single one of them. Ireneparalegal 11-19-2005, 08:19 PM Has to be Terrell Owens. Yep, that's why I put him on my list when I posted this thread. So true abt him. He is a jerk. There are some ungrateful people in this world and if they had to REALLY WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY, they would think twice. There are some ungrateful people in this world and if they had to REALLY WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY, they would think twice. I don't think it's fair to assume that athletes and celebrities don't work hard for their money. With a few exceptions, Paris Hilton being one, those people DO work hard for their money, they simply are incredibly blessed to be: 1.) working at a job that they (presumably) love, 2.) working at a job that happens to pay a boatload of money and 3.) working jobs that many other people aspire to do. Last year on Monday Night Football they had a weekly segment called 7 Days to Monday Night wherein they would go behind the scenes and show how the players and coaching staff of one of the teams had prepared for the game. I used to be one of those people that thought playing football wasn't "real work" but those segments really changed my mind. I assume the same holds true for other sports. My beef with Terrell Owens is not that he doesn't work hard; I presume what he brings to the plate is a combination of some natural talent and hard work. My problem with him is the immaturity, and the throwing away of an opportunity many people in this country would kill for. dawsongirl 11-20-2005, 02:16 AM Lindsay Lohan omg...yeah.
