Amazon has ODAAT listed for a release date for December 31, 1969.It states that 1969 is not the correct date, but they are working on displaying the correct date shortly. Does that mean there is some hope yet or what?

I saw that too, I hope it means that it's coming out soon and that Amazon isn't giving us false hope. All we have right now is the video clips at CBS, Sony, and aol video has a clip also but it's very low quality and you can't understand what the cast is saying in it.

They have ODAAT clips on the Sony and AOL websites. Do they mention a release of the show at all?

On Amazon they say you can order it now and they will ship it when it arrives in stock. Does this mean anything or is it just website garbage they post? Why would they even have the show listed if it wasn't coming out at all?

It doesn't mean anything. Just about anyone can e-mail them to ask them to add just about any title to their database. I see no point in it.

Earlier in the year Sony said they had plans to release ODAAT, but we haven't heard anything since. I am fearing that they may have scrapped the release just like they did with Silver Spoons. But maybe at this point no news is good news because we haven't even heard anything yet. If there were anything new, belive me Pavanbadal or www.tvshowsondvd.com would be some of the very first to break the news.

If you're talking about Sony's site, this is the link (http://www.sonypictures.com/sphe/tvondvd/indexpoll.php) to their most recent poll. You might still be able to give it a vote and view the results. If not, this link (http://www.sonypictures.com/sphe/tvondvd/poll_count.php) might do it for you.

Edit: Or maybe not (regarding that 2nd link).

I doubt we get ODDAT. News of it's release is now over a year old, and it is on a poll for future releases. The show that will probably get released is the one with 0.02% votes and Sony will claim it sold 100,000 copies. There is no reason why this show and The Facts of Life should be unavailable to the public.

I agree, the biggest kick in the stomach is that we see ACTION, which lasted for what, 10 episodes, on this poll and yet no word on ODAAT, a show that lasted for nine seasons and was a top 20 hit for 8 of 9 seasons. Come the hell on Sony, even if you start now, at your slow pace we still might not be finished with the show in 2012, so stop pussyfooting around and just give us ODAAT and FOL already!

I'm sure The Johnny Cash Show will occupy the shelves when Walk the Line is released on DVD. I guess we can only hope for a One Day at a Time motion picture at this point!!

I hope 5 copies of Action sell and that it will make Sony see the error of their ways. I'm not against the obscure little known shows being released but RELEASE THE HITS!!!

One Day at a time did better in the Sony poll than Facts of Life, and I just read on the Facts of life board that Sony is releasing the first two seasons of Facts of life in June.

Yes, I heard FOL is getting a release. I admit it is not much of a big thrill now since I'm now taping Season 3 of the show from Comcast. Now if ODAAT did a release I'd be thrilled!!! I really don't think they know how many people really do like this show.

I don't know if Sony or any big businesses peek at these boards or not, but the reason why the ODAAT is board is dead except for a few people is that the show cannot be seen anywhere except on Comcast right now I think.

hopefully with FOL's release, ODAAT will come out too.

One of my friends said that ODAAT and FOL should be released on the same day, since both shows were very popular and long-running female-driven shows that symbolize an era. That would definately be a great release date, both shows have 9 seasons so they can't come out fast enough.

the whole Comcast thing actually could be a good omen. Diff'rent Strokes seemed all abandoned and then it came to Comcast, and within 6 months, we found out season 2 was coming out, then Facts came to Comcast and about 5 months later, we found out seasons 1 and 2 are planned for June, so maybe this means around May or June, we're going to get a release date for One Day At A Time.
