How did this stay on TV for nine years? It is the same plot over and over and over again.

1.) Deborah fighting with Raymond.
2.) Raymond saying something stupid that causes number one to occur.
3.) The parents butting in.
4.) Deborah tells Ray she hates his mother.
5.) Robert and his problems (those are some of my favorites)

Neither Raymond or Deborah are very likeable people actually. Deborah is a witch (with a B). You can almost feel the anger eminating from this character. Some of this anger is warranted, because Raymond is a selfish, inconsiderate, immature person who wants sex all the time like a teenager. Actually their relationship is like that of the parents, two people who love each other but bicker about crap all the time.

They have three children, but they are rarely seen. The Ritchie Petrie syndrome times 3. The kids were blond too.

The parents I love, especially Frank Barone (Peter Boyle). I have read on some message boards that they did not like the character of Amy, Robert's new wife, but I think she is very funny. Robert got the best in the end with Amy, because she's not a bitch like Deborah and Marie. I would love to see the Robert and Amy show.
