 I see this has finally also been released and Freddie is one of the guest stars. Does anyone have any info as to which episodes/ appearances w/ Freddie are here? Maybe the one where he sings "I'.
ve Got The Music In Me"......that was great!!

I had heard that there is bonus material from when Tony was on the Tonight Show when Freddie was guest hosting. That is the only show that the two of them were on together, and according to the Tonight Show website, Tony is supposed to sing a song Freddie wrote. I have been looking for this set of DVD's but haven't found them yet. I should look on Amazon.

Freddie Prinze is on the 2nd episode of the 2nd disc singing I've Got The Music In Me / stand-up routine / sketch Road To Puerto Rico

On the 3rd episode of the 3rd disc in the sketch Gross-out Press / brief skit with Tony asking to be paid for his appearance / sketch Rainbow Wrap-Up

Bonus on the third disc: The Tonight Show with Freddie as guest host and Tony as a guest. Yes, the song Tony sings was written by Freddie. This segment is 15 minutes long

For anyone ordering online, it's $45 on amazon.com, $30 on deepdiscountdvd.com. Plus if you order it from DDD by tomorrow it's 20% off, so it's closer to $24 there.

Freddie was a good singer too. When I watched the segment where he performed with Dawn at the start of one of the episodes, I was shocked that he sang so well. And he was funny and sharp hosting the Tonight Show too, especially as young as he was at the time. He was a real talent.

The only thing I wish was that I could own that whole Tonight show episode. Tony eluded to Freddie's monologue and I wish I could have seen it! I bet Freddie was HOT!

And yes, Macca, Freddie looked so handsome in that suit on the Tonight Show. I still say we would be seeing him in that spot instead of Jay if he was around today. I think Johnny really liked Freddie.

Makes me wonder if Freddie was the youngest person (he was 21) to ever host the Tonight Show. Does anyone know???

Here is one link to try. I'm sure it is available at several different sites, but at least you can get an idea of price and the exact title.

Doesn't anyone agree who watched Tony Orlando and Dawn feel that the show was only entertaining when Tony and the girls was SINGING instead of when they did comedy?

It was the time.... the comedy on those variety shows, especially those hosted by people who were more known for their singing careers, was a bit on the campy side, but for someone who grew up in that era, it is nostalgic. I guess I prefer camp to some of the vulgar stuff on today. But I don't want to start a debate, it is my own personal preference.

I think the TOAD show had some merit..but to be honest I only bought the DVD for the Freddie appearances..and those shows are priceless. To see Freddie singing with Dawn and the sketches and stand up routine was worth every dime. And to get a glimpse of Mr. Prinze hosting the Tonight Show at age 21 is really mind blowing when you think about it. I loved his song "Thank You For Loving Me. Freddie's talent was so enormous that it's amazing. Don't want to start a debate either...just my humble opinion. ;)

I agree with Lucky. The old shows were so much better & cleaner. I adore TVLAND. Wish I could get the American Life channel so I could watch CATM & their other old shows...

I have always been a fan of the old variety show format. I used to watch Sonny and Cher, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Carol Burnett, Smothers Brothers, Dean Martin, Jackie Gleason, oh and so many others. I just loved the mix of comedy and music.

I guess you all have heard about Richard Pryor by now. I'm sure if Freddie were here he would've been very upset over his passing. Rip...

I was thinking the same thing, Freddie really admired Richard and his comedy. I was picturing Freddie welcoming Richard to that great big comedy club in the sky!

I got my DVD a couple of days ago and finally watched a little of the special feature of Freddie hosting the Tonight Show. OMG what little bit I was able to see was worth every second of it. I can't wait to see what the rest of the dvd's later have of TOAD and Freddie
