It's amazing that it ever could have happened, but it has. The 3 seasons of GI on DVD have accomplished what 25 years of 5 episodes a week and 16 more years of Nick at Nite and TVLand could not. I have watched GI so much that, for now, I just have to leave them on the shelf to mellow. I love the show, but I guess it's too much of a good thing.:( :)
The great thing is that, after a bit of a rest, I know I'll enjoy revisiting them all again.

I know what you mean. I taped them from TBS and Nick At Nite and I watched them to many times. I gave them a rest when the DVDs came out and I made sure to only watch them once in a given time. Like yours Bonsai they are shelved but they will make there return soon.

It had been a while since I'd seen GI when I got my dvds, but now I've pretty much exhausted all things Gilligan (just bought "Rescue from GI" from Overstock too.) I'm more of a Bob Denver fan rather than strictly a "Gilligan's Island" fan. All I can do is hope and pray that 20th Century Fox comes to their senses and releases "Dobie Gillis" on dvd. I remember it was *such* a treat to watch it on NickatNite and see Bob Denver do a whole bunch of stuff I hadn't seen before. :) It's been awhile since I've seen Dobie though. :(

That happens. What usually happens to me, is I watch one show, get tired of it, then buy more DVDs of other shows, and watch different shows for awhile. One day it could be Gilligan, the next day Munsters, the next day Sanford and Son, then All in the family, and so on, and so forth... :D

Yeah, Munsters, right now I'm watching the second season of "Hogan's Heroes" and the first season of "The Bob Newhart Show." :) :D
And speaking of other shows, I was watching the Colombo pilot movie "Prescription: Murder" this afternoon on Hallmark and noticed it was edited to about the same degree as GI episodes were-------shortened scene here, missing scene there. All worship the almighty advertising revenue :notworthy
