View Full Version : I was glad when the father had snapped at Dee
GARFIELDKOOL 11-12-2005, 10:07 AM Remember that Christmas episode? I guess Dee hurt Bill Thomas's feelings when she said the only family she got is Raj and mamma. Bill wanted the kids to come over his place, and I guess he kind of got hurt and snapped and yelled at Dee. She got mad(and really scared) and ran upstairs. That was the kind of firepower and disipline that was needed towards Dee, because she was she was too "grown". I love Mabel to death, but she was too easy on Dee.

I agree with you 100% man. Dee really was a brat. If she was my little sister, I would probably whop her a$$ every single day. She definitely gave a new meaning to the word "BRAT!"
Ireneparalegal 11-13-2005, 12:30 AM She was really funny and bratty, but on the show...if she was in my house, man, she would definitely need an asswhoopin.
Brian Damage 11-13-2005, 11:38 AM I really liked the character of Bill Thomas.
CindyRoxiesLair2006 12-11-2005, 01:55 PM Good and awesome job to Bill Thomas (Daddy)!
Dee deserved that firmness that he delivered to her, as he did. She didn't need to say that whatsoever...even though some of it was true (to a very tiny point, of course).
Parents deserve respect, no matter what the circumstances may be.
:talk:
hatwink 02-17-2006, 11:58 AM She needed it, but her mother was the one who should've stepped up.It hard to respect certain people, parents or not, if they are not a constant presence in your life.

This is kind of what occurred to me when I read this thread. I know the dad was their dad and nothing would ever change that fact but on the other hand he wasn't the dad in the respect that he was there on a constant basis. He was only there sporadically (sp?), coming in and out of their life.
Now, re: Dee and her smart mouth. Mrs. Thomas should have definitely given Dee a serious arse-whoopin' on a REGULAR basis. When I was younger, if I would have had an attidue like she did, I would have gotten a good one right accross the mouth and good, let me tell you.
Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch
