Talk about double dipping, the blog has news of a possible Feb. release date for a Paramount release of The Beverly Hillbillies. Will they continue where MPI left off (episode 55 in Feb.)? Or maybe start all over again? Maybe I'll hold off on buying MPI's releases until we hear something official from the studio. But then again, Paramount probably won't supply the TREMENDOUS amounts of bonuses MPI packs in in their releases of the popular Hillbillies and Junction shows.

However, I hope Paramount provides better quality than MPI. The MPI collection is a disappointment.

I don't own it, however I do own the Petticoat Junction MPI release and it's pretty good, and I've heard mixed reviews of BH. What's the beef?

My only gripe with PJ is it skips around at around 3:01 in one of the extras (commercials) and the skipping continues all the way to around 6:00 in. Also, one of the disc three episodes 'Visit From A Big Star'.

My MPI of PJ suffers from a freeze up in the episode Adam West appears as a doctor... same result in three different DVD players.

Patmy heart skipped a beat, and I yelled in exitment when I saw the title of this post---until I saw the date. Sadly, it's 3 years later and we still haven't heard a word from Paramount on this.

Hopefully, someone from there reads this, and gets moving!

Yea, I had the same reaction too and then saw the date. I keep hoping for an official PJ release from what is now CBS DVD.
