In Memory of my father who served in the European Front during World War II. One of his many duties was guarding Hitler's bunker. He enlisted in the army on his birthday. (Veteran's Day, for the uninformed, used to be called Armistice Day because World War I ended with the armistice of November 11, 1918.)

Oh yeah, the Brits and the Canadians call 11/11 "Remembrance Day." This day sure has had a lot of names.

P.S. In the town next to mine, they just fifnished restoring the World War I doughoby statue on the WWI memorial in the town green! It looks as good as new! :) patriot:
