...as old as he was AND still being in school, are we surprised that his sibling was a hoodlum? Rerun even sounded like it sometimes.

View Full Version : I wonder why Rerun never had any parents...... nerrad 11-10-2005, 04:36 PM ...as old as he was AND still being in school, are we surprised that his sibling was a hoodlum? Rerun even sounded like it sometimes. Dr. Thong 11-10-2005, 07:09 PM If you were Rerun's parents, would you want to admit he was your kid?? TVFactFan 11-10-2005, 10:49 PM I wouldn't want to admit that I was Dwayne's Father-lol Dr. Thong 11-11-2005, 07:52 PM I think Rerun's parents went drinking with Potsie Weber from Happy Days' parents. You never saw them, either.:D hatwink 02-21-2006, 11:43 AM I always figured he came from a broken home. msladysoul 02-21-2006, 01:55 PM Your probably right about Rerun but at least his sister and stepbrother took him in. Rerun's parents probably kicked him out, he was 18 and still in school and not doing much with his life. CindyRoxiesLair2006 02-21-2006, 07:55 PM That IS an interesting query posed here, concerning Rerun and the absent parental unit... I agree with the majority, in that since Rerun was a grown A... man STILL in HS and not doing anything with his life, his true parents decided to give him the boot. PERHAPS, now...we can't be too sure, here  :happyface MIKEPR 11-24-2019, 10:48 PM I don't see why you're asking such a question. Other than that time his dad was running for congressman we only saw Dwayne's dad. GSU2004 02-26-2020, 12:06 PM I never thought about that until just now that you brought it up. For a 'teen centered' show, you would expect some interaction with the parents even here and there. It could be assumed that Rerun had some family problems maybe absent father and troubled mother, topics a little too serious for a teen comedy at the time. I'm sure as time went on if the show continued, the question would have came up. In the first season, it was assumed both Dwayne and Rerun had parents as when Raj was in trouble with Mabel, she would 'you boys need to go home and tell your parents before I tell them!' Chocolate Moose 02-26-2020, 12:32 PM No 18 year old lives alone and goes to school full time. He'd have to support himself. Dr. Thong 02-26-2020, 05:45 PM No 18 year old lives alone and goes to school full time. He'd have to support himself. Well, maybe that's why he never had any money to pay for his food and drink at Rob's Place. :D MIKEPR 02-27-2020, 03:29 PM I never thought about that until just now that you brought it up. I don't see why it's a big deal. They just decided to show Roger's family which mainly consisted of his mom and sister and they just decided not to focus on the other's personal lives. Dr. Thong 02-28-2020, 09:05 PM I don't see why it's a big deal. They just decided to show Roger's family which mainly consisted of his mom and sister and they just decided not to focus on the other's personal lives.\ It was only a half hour show (24-25 minutes minus commercials) with four or five main stars. You can only show so much in a sitcom. MIKEPR 02-28-2020, 09:24 PM Yeah like that's the real reason. TVFactFan 02-29-2020, 05:59 PM I don't see why it's a big deal.
