I feel like this woman is a total embarrassment to the state of Louisiana and the city of Ponchatoula. I could not believe that she actually acted like she did. As your article read that she "Marguerite" has become a national celebrity of sorts, I think she has become the national embarrassment of the state of Louisiana and the City of Ponchatoula. Marguerite was crazy. She was truly ignorant. She made the other family do what she wanted, but when the guy tried to explain something about what his family believed it, she wouldn't listen. She was completely rude. If we think about, she's not the only person like that. There are tons of people who are just like her.

I felt sorry for her youngest daughter Brooke because her mom and sister were always telling her what to do.

I just found this site today and have been thinking about this show since last week when this woman was first shown! OMG, being from Louisiana I kept thinking.. WHY do people always find Freaks from there to portray us? UGH. I do not live in Louisiana since my husband is Active duty military, but will be going home for Thanksgiving and when I pass through Ponchatoula (which is an hour from my home), I am gonna Watch for her. That poor little Brooke! Can you IMAGINE her embarrassment!?!? Heck, all of them! The mom has prob had her burn the watch/necklace that she got! UGH.. Crazy.. CRAZY woman!!!!!!

I've seen several posts from people who live in the town on other boards and they say she blows up at people in the grocery store! :eek: If you as much as try to make conversation with her she starts ranting and raving about this and that. The family is well-known(not for her :p ), but apparently because the husband makes a lot of money. The kindergarten in the town is NAMED AFTER THEM!!! :rolleyes:

But someone with a mouth like that will not last very long. Eventually (sadly) someone is going to have enough and end up...well, who knows. Marguerite, if she doesn't have a heart attack first, will end up with more teeth knocked out.

It's like living in a home of an extremist of any religious background. I thought, 'WOW', it was unbelieveable! And for thinking anyone who isn't 'Christian' like her?? Forget about it.

To those of you, thanks for posting the links to the articles. I'll look at them later and see if she's like that in real life. That two part episode must have been taped months before hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans area.
