View Full Version : What did my mother do?
Janice Johnson 11-09-2005, 11:53 AM Well my stepmother actually.... What did she do to to deserve what my sister is putting her through? We are now a broken family because of my 15 year old sister. We need REAL help badly..... :( Just this year, my sister has ( In order of what she has done)
1.Ran Away with "friends" she met on the internet.(Read: Complete strangers), then said she wanted to come back to Miami(She had jumped on a greyhound and went to three different cities! ), but didn't want to come back to our house. Her words were "I want to go Anywhere but back to my house".:( My mom was devastated. My dad had to get her from Louisina!
2. Got a fake tattoo and made my dad freak out(because he thought it was real and he beat her and he got arrested for child abuse), and he IS NOT abusive at all. She was not allowed in our house when he was home(he came back the next day), so she lived with our aunt and 2 cousins. The sad thing about this, was the beating incident happened the night before my other sister's birthday, so it put a damper on her celebrating her birthday.:(
3.My sister had to get her stomach pumped because she tried to overdose herself.:(
4. My sister ran in front of a car(she cut school early to kill herself):( A security guard was on duty that day and saw her. He immeadiatlely got the attention of the staff and faculty, and she was rushed to the hospital. She merely got hit in her stomach, which is not what she wanted to accomplish....:( They took her to the psych ward, and she stayed there for a few days.
5.My sister began the habit of piercing herself, and one day, she put a piercing under her lips, but above the chin. My mom(stepmom) was upset when she saw it and almost cried. My dad exploded when he saw what she used to pierce it and asked "Do you want me to put this in your eyes?"! and she opened her eyes real wide and said, "Go ahead". He took the piercing equipment and through it against the wall.
6.She had a friend who was had his birthday party postponed because of Hurricane Wilma. The day before his birthday party, she asked my mom if she could go. She said no, and she snuck out anyway(I was in school and my mom was at work) and took a taxi to the party(She got our sister to cover for her). My mom found out and was upset. Later that day, she spoke to her, upset. That night, my sister snuck out again, and no one had any idea she had even left until my mom called her name and got no answer. My sister had taken advantage of having no electricity. My sister had gone to another friend's house....... My sister said she woke up the next day and was shocked to find herself back home. She said she blanked out on how she ended up home....
Honarable mentions.
My sis badmouths our church any chance she gets, and to make matters worse, our dad is the pastor of the church. Shhe makes the church look bad.
One day, she had a friend over(a male friend for water because the weather was a 100 degrees) and my dad unexpectedly came home early and exploded when he saw the male friend. My sis had told her friend to leave out the back yard, (because she figured my dad would explode seeing a male friend at the house), and he saw the boy running in the yard and he yelled at the boy, and the boy ran home scared. My sis and my dad got into a heated argument, and after dad left, she walked to the boy's house and apologized(She isn't supposed to leave the house without permission). Luckily, mom understood why my sis had gone to apologize...
My sis has been in the psych ward TWICE this year( once after she ran away and once after she tried to kill herself)
My sister looks at our parents with a look of rebellious defiance. She looks at them as if she is a grown adult. Her looks look like
She could have cost my mom 60,000 dollars a year because my mom wanted to send her to private school because she's so out of control. That was pricey, so she tried to send her to BOOT CAMP, but they rejected her because she needs to be at least 16, so my mom is stuck with her until her next birthday. My mom also thought of sending her live in our home country, where the rules are MUCH stricter than US(you won't go to jail for beating your kids there), but my dad opened his mouuth and told a social worker from HRS what my mom was thinking and it blew that chance, because it made my dad look worse.:(
My sister smoked and my mom found a carton in her box and burst into tears.
My sister has had sex with at least 5 differnet boys, losing her vigrinity at 13. I'm 21 and I am still a virgin! What the hell is she thinking. ? She once told me she was pregnant and would run away again to California. I immeadiately told mom, not taking anything my sister says as a joke.
We need serious family help. Our family thinks that she is having a bad influenbce on our other sister, but I don't remeber her being a follower, and I certainly am glad she isn't an easy follower. I certainly wouldn't want her following the "bad" sister.:( I want to tell my mom that my sis is just going through teenage rebellion phase, but something tells me I shouldn't say that to her...... It's just a feeling that I have.
Speaking of our other sister, she may be a going down a destructive path, though not like the "bad" sister. She has stolen countless amount of money from my dad, and the last time she stole money, she told my mom "I did it because you pay more attention to my sister than you do to me and she cried. What a load of crap. she's stolen money WAY before the "bad" sister became rebellious. She's even stolen money from ME! And she goes around making orgasmic noises, what the hell? She goes around moaning sexually, calling out boys names orgasmically. She even asked me what an orgasm was at an age that I hadn't even heard of orgasms. Is she to young to know what one is? And I hate when she askes ME to tell her what a lot of sex things mean.... She has fought in school and is rude to older people.... Like I said, we need serious help......
Number 9 Dream 11-09-2005, 12:50 PM Your mother or father may have not done anything wrong, but often times kids will just act out as a result of their age. You can only hope it's a phase she's going through, but sometimes it's not. You say she's 13?
I am only going by what you told me, so I can't be a real judge of the matter, but it seems maybe your sister needs more counseling. Maybe she feels she's being ignored or she needs more attention? I don't know.
Good luck. Trust me, I know where you're coming from...my brothers have all been the same way.
MsOrange 11-09-2005, 01:25 PM i'd seriously recommend family cousneloing... all go together. I'm just at a loss really of what to say, I mean, your parents can only be just that: parents. Do your parents have any kind of restrictions on her prior to all this happening.. ya know, when she could start dating... go out... etc?
Ireneparalegal 11-09-2005, 01:37 PM What is the possibility that your sis is doing drugs? Possibly meth? It is a dangerous and addictive drug that can cause one to behave in bizarre manners, steal money, be psychotic, be paranoid. It is the drug that has hit so many people of all ages. You and your family need to get together and resolve what as a family you all can do. I am sure your father is not abusive. But, it seems he has had it with her and can't resolve his anger issues with her. Anger stems from hurt. He is hurt. He feels out of control as if he is begging for some answers. It's easy to say to get her to counseling, but counseling only helps if she wants to go and wants to get help. First and foremost, the family needs to seek help with how to deal with her. The fact she has already attempted suicide (remember to attempt suicide is to cry out for help). Is she on medication? It is very strong of you to come to the forums and spill out all that you did. We are not professionals, we can be here as your friends. Some of us can either associate or identify what you and your family have gone thru and will surely go thru. I am so sorry that this is happening.
The Chauffeur 11-09-2005, 01:48 PM I was a LOt like that when I a teenager, I mean to a very spooky degree. It pretty much ran it's course till I was in my mid 20's and I had a breakdown. I checked myself into a hospital where I was diagnosed Bi-Polar. That had a lot to do with my actions growing up. I'm not saying that is what she is, but it deffinately sounds like a chemical imbalance. Has she been checked for that?
TheGreatPretender 11-09-2005, 02:00 PM I think counseling would be the best answer. Punishment obviously isn't making things better.
Kay Scarpetta 11-09-2005, 03:47 PM Your mother needs to take a Chinz out on her (do they have those in other states, or is it just MA?). A Chinz is a court order that makes it mandatory for the kid to go to school, check in with a probation officer, etc. If they don't, they get arrested and sent to juvinielle lockup.
I'd seriously reccomend some kind of psychiatric help for your sister, as well as for your parents. It's hard for them to be dealing with, and they might not know what to do. As for your sister, I personally think she needs to be locked up in a psych hospital for a while. She needs psych attention and evaluation, because it seems like there's something chemically going on. If you get her in the right program, she'll start to get better. As for her rebellious and wreckless (not to mention stupid) behavior, being in a hospital will cure that as well... did for me.
Anyway, I wish you good luck with her.
Ireneparalegal 11-09-2005, 09:07 PM Sorry to hear your troubles. I hope everything works out the best for you and your family.
Too late, post reported already with your original post...that was disgusting and pathetic. You can be a funny person on the other threads but that was totally uncalled for.
Janice, I hope you didn't read the post, it was wrong. I reported it already, but TerriAldenHater edited it out because I had warned the other posters abt it. Again Janice if you saw the post, I am so sorry. Your sister needs help, not negative thoughts. take care girlfriend. we are here for you.
Janice 11-09-2005, 09:54 PM Please stop the fighting. If it continues, I'll be forced to close this thread, and that wouldn't be fair to Janice Johnson.
Work out your differences in PMs.

Wouldnt Janice be the moderator it was reported to?
EmoJoe 11-09-2005, 11:04 PM Wow thats awful :( I would go to family counseling or something.
Hollow 11-09-2005, 11:33 PM i've done and still tend to do things similar to the ones on that list. it took me a while to realize that i didn't start acting that way shortly after my mom died, and i did it because i didn't have enough love and attention from my dad. that "go ahead, jam that thing in my eye" totally sounds like me. i used to go to such lengths trying to hint to him that i was suicidal and he would just get annoyed, inform me of how "unpleasant i am to the world", say that i'm "doing this on purpose", and once told me to go "rot in my room". i'd just be agreeing with him ("fine, maybe if i kill myself you'll feel better") and continue putting vivid cuts in my arms and he just continued with the "you're such a pain in the ass" attitude towards me. with the knowledge that he always just dismissed my behavior and left me with comments like that, those things strongly, STRONGLY encouraged me to kill myself.
i don't know how much my case relates to your sister's but overall she sounds like a hurt person and needs someone she can talk to. not just an ordinary counselor, more like a friend she can open up to.
MissZero 11-09-2005, 11:55 PM wow..first of all im sorry to hear about your family troubles. maybe your sister might have a secret or might not totally understand something about herself or your family that's causing her to act out ( just a thought)..i think that one-on-one w/ a phychologist might be a good idea w/ family counseling on top of it...after a little bit of therapy a doctor might find some ideas to help her get her feelings out w/out acting out (ie. writin, music, a sport)...hope that helped a little..best of luck to you guys
Mr. Stefani 11-10-2005, 12:00 AM . Got a fake tattoo and made my dad freak out(because he thought it was real and he beat her and he got arrested for child abuse), and he IS NOT abusive at all.
ANYONE that would even consider laying a hand on their kid is abusive. Theres NO excuses for that.
and theres so many other things wrong with what I read. Your family needs some form of thearpy. Your sister being unstable stems from them. I hope you guys get the help you need before it's too late.
Pitooey 11-10-2005, 11:15 AM Aw Janice..... I'm going to pray for you and the family. Your sister is going through something awful. I really hope it's not drugs.
Teenage years are hard on the family but I hope she gets the help she needs.
She's crying for attention. I will pray for her. :(
BartSmith 11-10-2005, 01:16 PM Janice Johnson, congratulations on your first serious thread! (You have had some WACKY threads in the past);) . I feel sorry for what your family is going through though.....:( Your sister obviously needs to be counseled......:( I hope you and your family gets better.....:(
MissZero 11-10-2005, 04:13 PM ANYONE that would even consider laying a hand on their kid is abusive. Theres NO excuses for that.
i disagree...when people are too out of control something needs to be done to put them in line and give em a reality check

Ireneparalegal 11-12-2005, 12:54 AM This is the kinda thing I was upset abt a couple of days ago...people making light or making nasty remarks when someone is in crisis...

I'm not trying to be somebody or LOOK AT ME,(I just did'nt have anything else to say) just put that there because I deleted the orginal, I was your side, but I'm not now. Callingme a morons, you will be on my ignore list, I hate to put people on ignor, but you really deserve it. Enough said.
Howdoulikemenow333 11-12-2005, 07:22 PM alaskaboy,
She's clearly a person looking for an argument or a fight. She has done the same thing to me also. So you're not the only one. Also, it's obvious that she has a problem with those who edit or delete their posts. And I think I will put her on my ignore list too!
I just pm Janice so she knows. Thanks terri, I thought you were stuck up,but I was wrong:lol: Your allright.
Ireneparalegal 11-12-2005, 07:51 PM Terri, why do you keep deleting posts??

Brent88 11-12-2005, 07:54 PM Can't handle it, Terri? Aww, poor lil thing. When she finally runs out of her little lame excuses, she is ready to end the conversation.
...and you still haven't answered 2 or 3 questions. Shows you have no idea what you're talking about.
:yeahthat
Ireneparalegal 11-12-2005, 07:54 PM Hog up attention? I don't go around yelling "I'm a Beauty Queen. I am a Beauty Queen!"
Stupid questions? I ask you why you deleted your posts? Not gutsy enough to leave them up? If this is for someone else, then why did you start off in the first page making innappropriate comments and then doing a little creating editing??
That's so true.
Janice 11-12-2005, 08:38 PM I've had had it with the constant fighting. Terri Alden Hater is obviously trying to change her board behavior for the better. I've seen an improvement since yesterday.
Still, members are challenging everything she writes. I am working with Terri on her behavior. One person's behavior doesn't give others the right to needle someone continuously. Two wrongs don't make a right.
No gangups allowed, under any circumstance. Report a member if you think they're out of line.
How many threads do I have to close?? TJ asked me if any suspensions were warranted. If things don't improve, I'll give him a list.
