Hey :D

Did anybody here pick up this set today? I did, and you guys all know I am hearing impaired.

The page for the DuckTales set at Amazon says it IS captioned (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AXWGRC/103-0082556-5452672?v=glance&n=130&n=507846&s=dvd&v=glance), but I didn't see a "CC" symbol on the box. I -KNOW- DuckTales was originally captioned during its original broadcast run, because I was watching in 1987, when it first debuted. The reruns were captioned also so I would be really disappointed if it wasn't captioned...

So can you do a check for me? Turn on the captioning feature on BOTH your TV AND DVD player. If your TV/DVD player gives you more than one option for captioning, choose CAPTION 1 or C1 (depends on how your TV/DVD player has the word formatted) and wait a moment. If text appears onscreen, then it is captioned.

My set is still in the shrinkwrap and if it indeed is not captioned, then I will be returning it to Suncoast tomorrow. I am hoping that the "CC" thing was a fluke. I got Freaks & Geeks when it came out 1-1/2 years ago. I HAD indeed watched F&G in its original broadcast run and KNEW it was captioned so I picked it up anyway and it IS captioned. Soooo....

Please? :D

Also...If nobody here has the sets but has an account over at Home Theater forums, could you ask there? Here's the thread...

I registered, but I have to wait until my account is activated. I really would like to get an answer ASAP. It sucks having to wait!

It's just been asked over at HTF, so hopefully someone will come through with an answer soon.

I looked at walmart, bestbuy and mediaplay. none had ducktales or chip n'dale. I know amazon has it. They got for 24 doallors. I don't want to order it if Amazon don't have it in. Do they have it in to buy?

My Best Buy store had plenty of copies of both Ducktales and Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers.
