It is written by William Johnston, who wrote several very funny paperback novels including the GET SMART, FLYING NUN and HAPPY DAYS series. He also wrote several other Whitman juvenile books, incl. BEWITCHED, DR. KILDARE, F TROOP, IRONSIDE, THE MONKEES and THE MUNSTERS. The book is illustrated by Robert L. Jenney, who also illustrated such Whitman books as CIRCUS BOY and WELLS FARGO and several Dell comics, incl. the movie adaptations of THE CREATURE, FRANKENSTEIN, THE WOLFMAN, and SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS. (Surprisingly, there never was a GILLIGAN'S ISLAND comic book(although there were two Filmation cartoon versions.))

price guide, it is valued at up to $30.00.) It is a cool book if you can find it.
