Raj's laugh

Rerun's dancing

Dwayne's "uhh- uhh!"

Dee's "oooooh I'm, telling!"

I have to give the edge to Rerun's dancing, hands down. I like the other ones except for Dee's.

Yeah, that line of Dee's could get annoying real fast.

I would also like to add to the list Roger's dancing, those funny little jerky moves he makes.

What about when Raj is afraid to say something and he mumbles it?

Brian Damage has it hands-down: whenever Raj mumbles in order to cover his tail about something that will clearly make him look bad in another person's eyes! LOL
And Dwayne's "Hey, HEY, hey!" was funny and caught on quite quickly as well! (Especially if it came with a bold and upfront entrance)

King Of Queens did a spoof of Dee's... "Oh you're in trouble"! Which says a lot in my books!

In Season 3 of WH, when Big Earl always flashes the back of his badge case, instead of the badge itself...LOL

Raj was a little too old to be mumbling his words. Even Dee said so during the episode in which Raj and Rerun moved in together.

Most of the time when he did it he was trying to protect the other person from being hurt

Yeah it wasn't like he was mumbling as in a kid mumbles, it was a "trying to break the news easily" mumble. Nothing to do with being too old... it's a well used comedy gag in many sitcoms.

I haven't seen that in any other sitcom

Don't have time to name examples... it's like asking me to name when JJ says "Dynomite". James did mumble to Florida once if that helps. It was either S2 or S3.

...but I thought we were discussing the Signature Traits in "What's Happening"...?

Anyhow, robby, you're right about James mumbling to Florida once or twice in GT.

But back to WH: another "signature trait", although not often mentioned nor paid attention to...
Dee's cool burnt-sienna red-colored suede gum-sole shoes, and also how she tells certain people (mainly Raj), "...you're getting on my nerves..." :happyface

Her funniest "getting on my nerves" was the Christmas episode in Season 1 when Bill's new girlfriend burnt the turkey. After that her "nerves" lines were a bit out of place... funny but just not timed right.

...is how always-perfect Shirley's afro appears. :)
Even with her "Right-On" fist-handle pick stuck inside of it, her afro is always picture-perfect!
